What are your thoughts about the women WC being played side by side? With the mens and the semis and finals being played on the same days as the mens just before. I actually think it's a good way to promote women's cricket, but I have to say the quality of cricket is so poor that even with the matches being free I wouldn't bother. How many of you would watch the women's matches? I watched one of the women's games well a part of it last year and it was a very boring. I know we need to encourage sport amongst all people of all ages, but even giving it broadcast time or making it a part of a free ticket package for those going to see the men's games live, isn't going to make the quality of play any better. I guess I'm so used to high level batting where the men can pound the ball well over a 100 metres and bowl well into the 150ks, that any other form of cricket would seem boring.

^^^^ :haha::haha::haha: Dont follow women's cricket and so dont know .. the only woman cricketer I have seen quite regularly is Anjum Chopra in the extra innings box in the last one year or so .. other than that once I read an article by a woman cricketer from UK who wrote about her excitement on seeing Sachin when she visited India .. she also spoke about a few Indian woman cricketers in that article too I suppose... rest I dont know and hardly saw any woman's cricket ever

Women cant play cricket' date=' no offence but it is just so boring with no power in the game, cricket is just not suited for women.[/quote']
Watched a few matches last year, they're not that bad. Remember the banner on ICF last year :haha::haha:
so typical from fellow icfers! there isnt supposed to be same level of power in womens cricket but you know what womens t20 had come really far and good on anjum chopra for achievements!! this exactly the mentality that prevents indian women from succeeding in any sport!! yes i would defo go and watch the matches and give them my support! oh by the way PJ with a signature like that ur so never gonna get laid!!

What mentality ? Its a fact of life, women get way more emphasis on the ramp than men do while its the other way on the cricket pitch. Watching womens cricket is just like watching some lesser league in mens cricket, its just not up there and there's nothing wrong in saying that.

I think it's way below lesser cricket, the quick women bowlers reach speeds of about 60mph at tops, I know 15 year old boys who can 75mph regularly all over the world. In fact the quality of women's sport is inferior to men's I cannot fathom how they can expect to get even half of the audiences that the men's versions do.

dont you think it would be more constructive compare one womens team to another?? say india to england for example... but to compare womens cricket to mens isnt really fair, we dont have have the same physical make up or strength sp naturally mens cricket is bound to be more "powerful" but amongst womens cricket i think as a whole i think our desi girls do very well! Lets face it if women arent comparing themselves to men in the world cricket who are you to?? our comparables are other women NOT men!!!

aaahhh beautiful!!! well if the shoe fits then of course we will bask in glory!!! :giggle: but no seriously there is not comparing mens cricket to womens lets not forget what the question is here!! its should womens cricket wct20 be played side by side with mens?? answer is yes! it gives them the much needed exposure and publicity and is probably motivational for them too! and secondly (i have already answered this) yes i would go and watch them!! naturally i prefer mens cricket but i still watch womens as well!
