Such a talented team, always fail in crucial matches. But in this world cup they were generally poor.Even Indians beat them:hysterical:

S.A. and the chokers tag This is just unreal. How on earth do they manage to live up to the expectations (of choking) every damn time? Never has any team managed to live up to the expectations with the same consistency as the Saffers. It's like a routine now, every time a crucial game is played both from S.A's and the opponent's objective, you know the result beforehand.

I would be gutted if i were SA fan. For every goddamn tournament they are tagged as favorites. They manage to do this every single tie. Atleast we can pinpoint why India struggles in a certain match. It is very hard to comprehend their approach in big matches. They are far too timid. Look how Kieswetter/Lumb came guns blazing So was Watto/Warner.

It's got nothing to do with choking in this tournament. Here is the reason they were so abysmal : Smith, Kallis, and Gibbs total of 321 runs off 279 balls at a strike rate of 115 which is 6.9 RPO.

But you would expect them to step up and correct the mistakes.

The main problem is that England has taken away all the South African big hitters..For example now SA will drop many old hags like Kallis, Boucher, Gibbs from the ODI/T20 team and get some big hitters in place..England will promptly wait for the right moment and poach them.. For South African fans, it's better to support the other South African team, England..

Well, choking in general is losing from a strong position. But in this case I was speaking of how predictable they are when it comes to crucial matches. Not even Bradman with the bat can manage the consistency in that department that the Saffers have shown so far.

For christsake. He should have been mauled in the power play overs.

The sooner they get rid of Kallis from the opening slot, the better for them. Yes, he more often than not scores runs, but his strike rate at the top of the order is simply not acceptable.

Hahaha cricinfo are such bast@ards this is what they say, "Umar Akmal's quickfire 51 helped Pakistan to 148 before the spinners CHOKED South Africa to win by 11 runs at St Lucia" Hhahaha and also I love how they transribe Afridi's comments, "The boys really performed very well. Kamran Akmal .. Umar akmal .. my partnership with Umar too ..Captain's performance is always important. .. I have already started praying that England should win the next game!" Put dots where they have no idea wtf hes saying :cantstop:

That would`ve hurt deeply had I been a Saffers fan :(

Why do Saffers play like Pakistan in crunch matches? :S Their performance in those matches reminds me of our team lol
They played a crunch match against India in 2007. They didn't even have to win. They just had to lose by a certain margin. Yet they failed to do that.
