I used to watch test matches 8 hours a day for 5 days when I was a student. Hopefully I'll still be able to do it once I make a billion dollars and retire soon...

I used to watch Test matches 8x5 while I was in middle school and part of High school. Then I started getting bored of the 5 day format and the non resulting Test games started getting on my nerves which ruined next two three days even after the game was over. Now I watch it if I have absolutely nothing else to do. I never watch re-play or Highlights of anything other than Sachin's centuries in ODIs leave apart Test games. I enjoy the shorter formats 10x more than the 5 day format now. I often find my self checking the scores at the end of each day just to keep up with the games India is taking part in.

I dont understand why ppl say 5 days x 8 hours. Actually, its only 6 to 6.5 hours of play each day. 2 hours each session, and if required last session is extended by .5 hours. Overall the duration of a day is 7 hours to 7.5 hours, if i include lunch of 40 minutes and tea time of 20 minutes. so it is wrong to say 8 hours a day..

People who says 5 x 8 =40 hrs are prolly just voting emotionally..No one has time to watch the game for 5 straight days unless you dont have a life...and for a 3 match series, thats 15 days in less than a month.

I would like to see ppl like Wicky, Outy, Boss, King posting here, to see how much of test cricket they watch

Not too much meaning in the poll. Its the quality not the quantity. How much someone watches may depend on the life situation at that point for a person, I have watched crazy amt of cricket continuously but sometimes situations in life changes, and one scales back. Still a gripping session of Test cricket will kick, pwn and smother any T20.

Depends on how the game is shaping up. I definitely keep an eye on the score when a India test match is on...and hence watch depending on that. Watch a session on first day if India is batting.. Watch a session if Viru/SRT are on 50+... Watch a session if I know the ball is doing a bit, and indian bowlers have their tail up .. Watch a session if laxman has crossed 20... about 50% of the time, 5th day is a waste of time, and of only academic interest..so skip it unless something dramatic could happen..

I don't care to be criticized by your second line but for the first, for me Laxman is the worst batter to have stepped on an international ground. I can not stand the guy. Hopefully, I have made this clear for you. I would rather watch someone like Asif, Murali, Lee, Zaheer, Bhajji bat over Laxman. Laxman only manages to give me headaches

I could still careless dude...I don't feel ashamed to not have any likings for Laxman's playing style. You can add infinitely many more :giggle: smileys but that would fail to make an impact on my attitude. okthanksbye
