Israel has repeatedly said that the aid will go through after its screened at their posts. Is that too unreasonable a request ? Will Turkey let a flotilla through to protest the Armenian genocide ? My guess, probably not.

Even the US calls it illegal The wall maybe on occupied territory but to get through to the strip, you have to pass through Israeli waters, which is Israeli sovereign territory.

But playing the devil's advocate..by the book naval blockades are illegal by your definition Egypt can blockade the Suez Canal like it did before because it falls within its territorial waters.. The blockade is a response to Hamas using the territory physically to launch rockets nto civilian areas.

That is how we see it. There are different perspectives to it, which is why I think that region is heading into a lot of trouble shortly and Obama isn't strong enough to coerce Israel

Turkey(After arch-foe Greece went nearly bankrupt and is not a threat anymore it has shifted its attention towards Israel, Probably has the strongest and well-equipped armed forces in the muslim world which is increasingly going hardline after being secular for so long), Syria Assortment of thug groups in Palestine,Gaza Hezbollah in Lebanon IRAN This can get out of hand whether uncle sam likes it or not

It is not possible IMO to divorce fundamentalism from Islam and Islamic countries will always be susceptible to it, no matter how secular they may look outwardly.

Hamas have proved that they can stick to a ceasfire- they did so in 2008. It was the Israelis who broke it. This is aside from the illegal settlement building and the UN resolutions they break.
