Of course the character was created long back in literature, but there have been numerous movies till date. James Bond: No other character lived so long on the big screen. And no other character was portrayed by so many actors. Jason Bourne: The ultimate spy in the history of Hollywood. I love his line:" "There is a way out of everything. There is a solution to every problem."

Thanks for the information. I have mainly watches and liked Jeremmy Brett as Holmes. But Robert D Jr has outdone them all.
