i was very impressed with his ability to play the short ball. something most sub continental batsman can't do at all (especially indian). I'd say he's the most impressive young player in the sub cont along with mathews from sri lanka. I don't really rate guys like raina and kohli becuase they are a walking wicket when the ball bounces a bit.

Since the other Sub-continent players can't play any kinda deliveries well, they really do not need short balls to get out.

One hek of an amazing talent this guy is. Very pleased that Bangladesh finally got a player of his caliber. Hope they get more of him in the near future so that Bangladesh can finally become a strong cricket team who will win on consistent basis.

Kohli is very good at pacey short balls which he showed in champions trophy against WI on a fast bouncy wandrer's surface where he played WI pacers Roach and Tong very well and scored 70 odd..he was impressive then...others felt tough facing Roach's 150 kph thunderbolt thn

India does not grant Citizenship to ANYBODY from Pakistan and Bangaldesh,or even having remote relationship with these countries. Otherwise there would be a queue from at least the elite Pakis -- to settle in India. Adnan Sani ro begin with and also the 2 cents actress from Lahore, don'teven know her name wanted to settle down here. Not to mention their cricketers -- just to play in IPL :winky:

Nothing to be ashamed of though. If England does it then why not Pakistan or India. The case of African born n raised players playing for world super power England is no different then Bangladesh born n raised players playing for still 3rd world countries Pakistan n India. We are just too complex in the way we think. Maybe someday Gangulies or Rashid Latifs can play for Bangladesh. Ed Joyce once played for Ireland then played for England now wants to play for Ireland again. Why things would be different for South Asians.
