He needs to do films which get dubbed in Hindi like "Don No.1", "Great Dharmatma", "Meri Jung- One Man Army" to be a hit here :hysterical: :((

I've heard mixed reviews, but its a [s']Mani Shankar film. Mani Rathnam. As I posted in the Movies thread 1/2* for making the movie and 1* for the camera and locations. 1.5/5. The movie is a big disappointment.

The Dark Horse Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 I watched the Tamil version and the movie is watchworthy mainly because of Vikram and to some extent Aish. I didnt watch the Hindi version, but i've heard from those who've watched both that Vikram easily outperformed Abhi in the Beera character.
ludhianvi Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 While flipping channels, I stopped for an interview where Ash mentioned something interesting - that the movie was shot for both the Hindi and Tamil version on the same day ( different shots, etc). Meaning its just not dubbed but actually two different versions. Wow

ludhianvi Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Duh' date=' of course it is. How else can Vikram be Ram in one and Ravaan in the other :haha:[/quote'] Hehe, ok. I havent watched either yet so didnt know the cast was different. It makes sense now that the cast is different... was wondering why they would have a different versions
Mamu Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Another Movie bites the dust. What is this the 397th flop out of the 400 produced this year ? Oh wait... what are the 3 hits? Heck tell me 3 movies that are watchable this year? So it is the 400th flop out of the 400 produced so far this year. For this junk ***** movie called 'Raavan'(as per the reivews -- I have not watched it yet and probably will not) -- Ash and Abhi travelled from London to Lahore to Lajpatnagar to Lucknow to Lanka to Lamdanagar -- wasting time, money, energy and what not. Only enhances and reinforces my "Sad and Sorry state of Indian Movies" thought. BTW Omkara was a GREAT movie, if somebody can tell me if Raavan is even half as good as Omkara, with conviction and a non-biased opinion -- I will watch it.
