Serani Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Interesting to see how he does in Australia...Hauritz outbowled him in the last Ashes for the most part despite Swann heralded as far superior in the previews. No doubting he has been the most consistent spinner for the best part of a year though Send him to India :bigboss: If he keeps getting wicket the way he is getting then eng might just pull off a win in aus. Best spinner in the world ' date=' not really. We need to see more of him against SA and India besides his ashes performance.[/quote'] True that. India's tour of England next year will be the right time to judge him. Its gonna be one hell of a challenge for him, bowling against best players of spin bowling under conditions not much suited for spinners. That said no one can dispute the fact that in present form he's the best spinner in world cricket! Btw don't you think he'll come a cropper against your beloved player Tendulkar? :--D Yeah' date=' the best right now. Great temparament, superb action. Although, I would like to see him against Indians now to judge his true calibre. He is going to Aus, graveyard for offies. Will be interesting.[/quote'] Swann's test will come against India. Umar AKmal smashed him around in the 3rd test. That shows he's very smashable. If Sehwag manages to stay' date=' he's take Swann to the cleaners.[/quote'] He's doing well now...let's see how does it in India ' date=' even Ashes will be a test for him.[/quote'] bloody hell
Sachinism Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 lulzers some people still think Bhaji is better. Bhaji may have a great record, but in Tests doesn't seem like he's constantly troubling the batsmen and putting them under pressure. Does a great job of keep the runs down in LOI with his darted yorkers, but not looking for wickets like Swann
ensd2 Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Swann is one of best but not the best : his records looks impressive thanks to 8 test he played against world's 2 best batting line up : Bang and Pak Bhaji is better
Laaloo Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Swann is one of best but not the best : his records looks impressive thanks to 8 test he played against world's 2 best batting line up : Bang and Pak Bhaji is better I agree. Bhajji is good for firing down 5 wides on the leg side. :winky:
ensd2 Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 I agree. Bhajji is good for firing down 5 wides on the leg side. :winky: he is in bad form , he will come back strong mmw:two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up:
DeXteR Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 bloody hell :finger: He's gona get hammered by Indians and Aussies :--D
Ranjha Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Swann is good but Bhajji is a proven performer over long term.
jaggadaku Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 :finger: He's gona get hammered by Indians and Aussies :--D His real test will be against Viru, don't see him getting hammered by other Indian batsmen
thongale Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 His real test will be against Viru' date=' don't see him getting hammered by other Indian batsmen[/quote']Well don't you rate Raina against spin? I am not Indian, but my perception is that he's the best left handed batsman against spin in the world currently.
jusarrived Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Well don't you rate Raina against spin? I am not Indian' date=' but my perception is that he's the best left handed batsman against spin in the world currently.[/quote'] GG is leagues ahead of Raina , infact better than Shewag too
jusarrived Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 :finger: He's gona get hammered by Indians and Aussies :--D Aus are arguably the worst players of spin these days
riwi999 Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Indeed Aussies should be easy pickings for Swann. I do think he is the best in the world at the moment, certainly for Tests. Definitely ahead of Bhajji atm.
jaggadaku Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Well don't you rate Raina against spin? I am not Indian' date=' but my perception is that he's the best left handed batsman against spin in the world currently.[/quote'] Most Indian batsmen are great against spin but the real damage will be done by Viru
Serani Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Sehwag will have a very hard time if conditions are like the recent series vs Pak. Might not even get to Swann.
jaggadaku Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Sehwag will have a very hard time if conditions are like the recent series vs Pak. Might not even get to Swann. Don't underestimate Viru he scored two centuries against kiwis in the 2002 tour where the conditions were even worse and most of the kiwis and Indian batsmen had a hard time even getting past 50
thongale Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Sehwag will have a very hard time if conditions are like the recent series vs Pak. Might not even get to Swann. Then Sehwag should come in the middle order to stop the run of the best spinner ever in the world.:--D
Karan114 Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Sehwag will have a very hard time if conditions are like the recent series vs Pak. Might not even get to Swann. Sehwag wasn't even in England the last time we toured...we still beat you guys.
CSK Fan Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 After seeing Bhajji bowling yesterday, I couldnt but compare him to Swann. Swann is not afraid to flight each and every ball, he gets a very high % of LBW and bowleds. Bhajji is so afraid of getting hit, he bowls flat darts

Lets see fow how long he can sustain his current form.
