They have never yielded any results in the past and dont see it happening in the near future either. Until Pak implodes or India falls apart, nothing is going to change. Like "someone" here mentioned, will all this animosity end if Kashmir situation were to be resolved? No, because it's much more than just a land dispute. World opinion and all that mattered when India was not such a prominent economic power - dont think it makes any difference now. Before we start lecturing Pak to get their sh.t together, we need to get our house in order first. Cant imagine Mumbai 2008 or the numerous such attacks that have occured before and after, happening without any homegrown support. Minority appeasement/vote bank politics have truly set the country on the path to self destruction.

To beat a toad like Deve Gowda in an election is not easy. Also I just read the reports of the talks. Qureshi has said that Krishna kept making phone calls. Krishna has denied doing so. So it all comes down to who you want to believe.

Even if Qureshi hadn't told this, it is open knowledge that SMK is a useless and clueless FM. Why would you need Chidambaram (Home Minsiter) to visit Pakistan with Headley confession dossiers and do the ground work for the folllowing visit by a clueless FM? Let's for arguments sake, assume that Chidambaram would've been the FM and SMK would've been the HM (He wouldn't have done worse that another weak muppet Shivraj Patil). You think SMK would've gone with the Headley confession dossiers to prepare the ground work for Chidambaram's visit? Chidambaram wouldn't have needed him to do any ground work. SMK would've shat in his Lungi..Fat chance he would've shat in his lungi in this trip too.

All it was expected was to defend the Home Secretary of India from being equated with a terrorist like Hafiz Saeed in a press conference. SMKs silence ment that he had agreed with Pak's stance of equating GK Pillai with Hafiz Saeed. You don't have to react angrily to that. All you have to do is to dismiss it' date= even politely, when this is raised.
