Manny_Pacquiao Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 i think afridi is the most worthless cricketer that ever lived, absolutely talentless and the kind of player that wouldn't play for any other international cricket side due to his overall retardedness. but on this occasion, i actually respect him for what he did. he has realised what a piece of crap he is, what a misfit he is for the strongest format of the game, and how he is essentially nothing more than a t20 show-pony. and he knows he will disappoint the team, because being a tactless captain, he can't simply set an example for the team in tests with his nonsensical batting and harmless bowling. so he knows he is playing the wrong game and has quit before he leads his country to some more huge defeats. this is a good call.

No, this was another selfish decision. He has been plying for more than a decade. Did he not know that he is unfit when he was made captain? Why didn't he refuse then and allow a new captain? 2. How can be dump his team right in the middle of a tour having played just one match as a captain? It's like the captain of a ship taking the life boat out at the first sign of trouble leaving his crew to drown. He should have resolved to see the tour off before resigning in the least. One match and a retirement? He did that just to gain those beastly praise from his fans and thats all he cares about. You think this decision was taken for the team? This was taken only for his own good.

At least from now on, the cult followers of Afridi wont be able to use the usual ‘Oh look, he averages 37 in test cricket!’ argument. Even he doesn’t think he belongs in this stage.
