The Outsider Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Well played! :two_thumbs_up: :punter: to end his captaincy career without a series win in England and hopefully in a couple of months, India as well! PS : This is not a jinx thread.
Mr. Wicket Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Meanwhile... :punter: phails to get a test series win in Ingerland after 3 attempts :hehe: PS: Not a jinx in any way... at this rate, I think it'd be impossible to jinx Punter into winning a series in Ingerland unless you stick him with Ordinary Bangladesh as opposition :hehe:
Guest Hiten. Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 :punter: :headshake: Well done Pak. What Wasim, Waqar couldn't achieve Aamer and Asif did! They helped Pakistan get the monkey off their back. Irony it maybe, but Pakistan should consider itself lucky of being devoid to play at home as they will be playing their "home" series under some lively conditions
achilles Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Pakistan I'm really happy for the people of Pakistan, for they have an amazing team which has comprehensively decimated their verbally superior foes in this Test match.
Rajiv Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 So does that mean, the next will be 2025 played in Kabul But all said, it took a different country to beat them Its called "Test Series to go"
kabira Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Congrats Poyz. Afridi must be stupid to leave captaincy. He could have been hero and could have made history. Salman Butt will now be captain in all formats. Just wait and watch.
Nova Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Well done Pak. Heartfelt congratulations and thank you for making me richer by 500 millionz :D DK, Laaloo and Sree please oblige
riya Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Congrats Poyz. Afridi must be stupid to leave captaincy. He could have been hero and could have made history. Salman Butt will now be captain in all formats. Just wait and watch. Nope Pak wouldn't have won if cheat was their captain. It is because he is not there, they are winning.
Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I'd prefer to wait till the end of the match lol:nervous:
asterix Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Congratulations Pakistan..Worthy winners. Totally dominated Aussies.. Good captaincy by Butt. Pakistan doesn't needs egoistic, overhyped captains...
kabira Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Pakistan should ask for extra 30 mins. They should not wait for tomorrow. Who knows weather condition tomorrow. Right its perfect batting condition and finish off the test match today.
Online Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 For the first time in my life I am happy to see Pak win and Aus lose. Hopefully this signals the beginning of the end for Punter.
imran666 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 after 15 years of torture ..thanks god weve done it at last ...pointing with all the help from the umpires on LBWs and changing of the ball coz it wasent swinging :giggle: .weve done it yahoooooooooooo :two_thumbs_up: and thank u guys for ur kind comments :hatsoff: with love from pakistan wish u guys good luck in the second test vs the lankans
achilles Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Australian cricketers and Ricky Ponting in particular will have a lot to reflect about if they ever happen to check any Asian forum.
Ram Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Well, I am completely gutted. I really really didn’t want Pakistan to win this, which is pretty rare for me because I don’t generally care that much about non-India results. This win will bolster our neighbors’ argument that all along, it was their pathetic batting that had let them down and their bowling attack is world class (read, better than India’s). Even our loss in the first test against Lanka didn’t hurt as much.
punjabi_khota Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 ^Well right now their bowling attack is a notche above India's, no question about it. Aamir is finding his place in the sun, and Asif is always dangerous given a little bit of assistance from the air or pitch. India's only world class fast bowler now is Khan who is unfortunately injured more often than not. Bhajji is better than any of their spinners though.
Texy Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Congrats PAKISTAN.... you deserve it (this coming from ardent Pak hater) Out of the world bowling and great batting in the 2nd innings Danish Kaneria looks better than Bhajji at the moment
Ram Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 ^Well right now their bowling attack is a notche above India's, no question about it. India's only world class fast bowler now is Khan who is unfortunately injured more often than not. Bhajji is better than any of their spinners though. Well till now, their argument has always been ‘Never mind the results, our attack is way better than yours. Its our batting that has consistently let us down..’ and I could counter that with ‘You cannot compartmentalize roles batsmen/bowlers like that. Besides, our bowlers have consistently outbowled yours not just in Asia, but also in foreign countries against the same batting line-up’.. But yea, this kid Aamer is some bowler. Its not often that a genuine left-arm swing bowler comes onto the scene. He’s going to be a genuine threat in non-subcontinental conditions.
