phaedrus Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 siddle bowled a no ball. its his fault and no one else's, no matter how much greig whines
Bradman99 Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Just to make it clear, I don't think India are at fault here whatsoever. They have the option not to use the DRS and they chose not to, for whatever reason I'm not sure. But the umpires are using this no-ball system to help assist them with their umpiring. How is that any different to a caught behind or an lbw? I think either they have the technology to assist umpires or they don't have it at all. In my opinion, they should definately have it. However, the system should be adjusted so that it is not used as a tactical ploy by players, but rather by umpires with decisions they are unsure of.

Australia got the benefit of the doubt when zaheer got a wicket, india got it when siddle got a wicket off a no ball. WHY IS THIS BEING BROUGHT UP WHEN UMPIRES HAVE TREATED BOTH SIDES FAIRLY??
King Tendulkar Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 All auusie comm team are idiotsts. particularly Healy and Slater. Only fair minded one amongst them is Lawry
ganeshran Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Umpire is free to reivew decisions on their discretion, just like stumpings and run outs. The DRS is a review system where the players are allowed to initiate the review. Like Manny said, the no ball debate is moot to the DRS discussion, and brought in by Trollin' Greig to just express some of his **** opinions
King Tendulkar Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 And bloody hell what a massive jinx attempt on Sachin by Greig
Bradman99 Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Fair call, I was probably just frustrated by the turn of events. PS: I did not see the Zak dismissal, didn't watch the 1st session.
Deleted_User_1 Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 And bloody hell what a massive jinx attempt on Sachin by Greig Yup commentators curse big time. Although I must say some of it was coming from the admiration they have of the champion player.
Nova Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 I am so glad to be watching Sky Sports stream...channel 9 commentators are much better than what you get on Star. Yeah sometimes Greig goes a little OTT but I can't stand the cliches from the Indian commies. And really I don't believe in this jinxing nonsense... :dontknow:
Number Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Some of his tweets were hilarious lately. like "N srinivasan is the worst thing ever happened to cricket" and "Big Bash is the best T20 league , you get a feeling that it's every game is legitimate " ....:hysterical: making himself look like a turd as everyone knows the reason behind it.
zep1706 Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Yup commentators curse big time. Although I must say some of it was coming from the admiration they have of the champion player. yes but none from him, I could almost visualize the smirk on his face when he was shouting about that hundred and how Indians all across India would celebrate blah blah. Other commentators were genuine in their praise I felt.
jairamesh Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 http://www.greenleft.org.au/node/49714 Bloody racist bastard The baldie is a Sri Lanka tourism ambassador!:hehe: Talk about them deserving each other, sometimes the lankans stretch themselves too far.

Yeah sometimes Greig goes a little OTT but I can't stand the cliches from the Indian commies. And really I don't believe in this jinxing nonsense... :dontknow: Agree with this to some extent. Commentary on Star Cricket is non sense. Ganguly is good but if he gets stuck on a point, another 30 minutes will go by discussing Sehwag's greatness. On Channel 9 team, yes they are no good. Australians I know personally hate them.
Cricket Tragic Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 I hate Channel 9. Benaud is a class apart, Lawry is decent and Mark Nicholas was alright before he become an Aussie **** licker. The newer lot (Slats, Healy, Tubby etc) are terrible.
peterparker Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 arun lal is way better than this sri lankan ambassador..
peterparker Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 i thought that mark taylor was a neutral commentator
peterparker Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 if DRS costs india the series, why should use it then? 2008 india-sl series was perfect example..even though india had won a test match there despite being subject to the cheatings done by sri lanka by putting this drs referall system in place
Number Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Tendulkar’s 100th 100 a certainty and what a place to do it. 1st Test played at MCG as well as 1st ODI 3 hrs ago. Did I jinx him...if so sorry 2 hrs ago. @greigtalks :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
zep1706 Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 just ignore him, he's trying to be the Michael Vaughan of this tour. There is more to come. I was thinking of giving him a real stick on twitter but then realized that is exactly what he wants, so decided against it.
