Duckworth&Lewis Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 ^ Ashwin can get lot of bounce because he is a tall bowler like Randiv. And he can bat too. But u know certain captains love certain players.
Duckworth&Lewis Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 ^You just justified your username :D Anyways my line up will be - Sehwag ----------------------------- Karthik ----------------------------- :nervous: Kohli ----------------------------- :nervous: Yuvraj ----------------------------- :haha: Dhoni ----------------------------- :finger: Raina ----------------------------- Jadeja :(( (We could as well draft in saurabh tiwary instead of this poor guy, but thats not gonna happen surely :(() ------ :two_thumbs_up: Ashwin :nervous: Mithun ----------------------------- :giggle: Nehra ----------------------------- :giggle: Praveen ----------------------------- :giggle: Overall it's a good team.. but..
Duckworth&Lewis Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Dhoni seems lost his guts after the marriage.. hmmm.
saneindian Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Yuvraj out for a week due to fever. DK out with a finger injury, Ishant has an ankle problem, Mithun is yet to recover from the heat stroke, Nehra has a back problem and has not attended the practice sessions. Looks like the team for tomorrow will be Sehwag Kohli Rohit Raina Tiwary Dhoni Jadeja Ashwin Ojha PK Munaf These are the 11 fit members of the team as of now. Tiwary in all probability will have his international debut.
diegovegaz Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 sehwag kohli (kaarthick's injured) rohit yuvraj dhoni raina tiwary ashwin pk nehra munaf (mithun injured) though cricinfo says team manager insists kaarthick has no injury concerns, and considering what saneindian says about yuvi being out, i guess kaarthick might play, and dhoni may again go ahead with jaddu instead of tiwary, which is the worst outcome for team india
saneindian Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 ^ Yuvraj has dengue. Is out for a minimum of 7 days and could soon be ruled out of the series.

More... Don't know what sort of wickets India want: SLC curator Press Trust Of India Dambulla , August 15, 2010 Sri Lanka Cricket's national curator Anuruddha Polonowita has ridiculed Indian complaints against the practice pitches here, saying he does not know what sort of tracks to prepare for a side which was bowled out for 88 on a batting-friendly strip. Miffed with the practice pitch at the Ranagiri related stories, Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni walked out of a practice session after opener Dinesh Karthik hurt himself due to the uneven bounce. But Indian complaints didn't cut much ice with Polonowita. "I don't understand what kind of wickets they (India) want," he said. "The other day, on a beauty of a wicket, they were bowled out for 88. Now, they don't want to play on the practice wickets," he was quoted as saying by 'Cricinfo'. India were bowled out for 88 in the opening match of the ongoing tri-series by a relatively weaker New Zealand, which scored 288 on the same pitch despite missing top batsmen Brendon McCullum and Jesse Ryder. The Indians will now take on Sri Lanka in their second match of the series.
gaurav92 Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Saurabh Tiwary should get a chance and so does kohli, but i am sure MSD will exchange yuvi with Virat Coolie wonly, and keep his trump card Jaddu in the team.
Hell Raiser Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 What a low mentality. He can only talk about one bad game that India had, But forgot that India has beaten Sri lanka in every series or tournament that was held in Sri lanka in last 2 years.
saneindian Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 This idiot does have a problem with our team. After the SSC test, he said the pitch was good enough but the Indian bowling was crap and that they got tonked around by SL A as well. We won the next test. And now he attacks our batting. Hopefully we will beat the lankans tomorrow and then someone from the Indian camp puts this buffoon in his place by directly responding to his digs.
Jersey #10 Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 ++ It's high time everyone stopped talking about the pitch and the lights and the timing of the game and the ground. A good team should be able to compete in all circumstances. It's not like teams haven't won games playing second on Dambula.
Karan114 Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 ++ It's high time everyone stopped talking about the pitch and the lights and the timing of the game and the ground. A good team should be able to compete in all circumstances. It's not like teams haven't won games playing second on Dambula. That's not the point, no one is denying we batted badly in the first ODI. The point is this moron curator's repeated attacks on our team. As saneindian says, the last time he trashed our team we responded by beating his country in the third Test and hopefully we can do something similar tomorrow.
rohitcalls Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 The moron should just concentrate on doing his job right rather than commenting on India;s batting abilities. Dhoni and the indian team management have seen enough pitches around the world to gauge whether a pitch is sub standard or not, leave alone practice pitches. IMo, the curator dint do his job right and he just got found out. Take that pollonabata:finger:
