Holysmoke Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Says he needs some rest. BCCI has apparently agreed. TEST + ODI series will be captained by Sehwag. BCCI source has got players request for rest, and they have agreed to use rotation policy from now onwards This means dhoni will return to the team in december? For the SA series... Sid Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Come on' date=' he can't miss out on playing for his IPL team just for some stupid Test series :cantstop:[/quote'] franchise pressure
cowboysfan Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 i hope reconsiders the test matches atleast ,not looking forward to Saha at all.i would rather see Karthik behind the wickets.
Clarke Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Deserves a break, if it includes tests so be it. Lets see how true this news is btw.
Lord Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 should plan n miss ODIs,heck fly back home right now if he is so tired. but skipping tests is not on
kabira Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 ^I think he wanted to rest for this ODIs for sure. He is nursing an injury. But what I cannot undersatnd, why is he keeping the wicket.
Clarke Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Test matches are exhausting, 15 days of cricket along with the usual drills, strategies and teamwork isn't easy.
achilles Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Come on' date=' he can't miss out on playing for his IPL team just for some stupid Test series :cantstop:[/quote'] Yeah. What a shame. franchise pressure Ofcourse its more important playing for CSK than playing for India, is what people will assume, talk and write about if Dhoni sits out of a series citing "fitness issues" and then goes ahead to SA and plays in the CL instead. Then Parthik Patel should get an opportunity. List of Dhoni's possible replacements (in the pecking order)- 1. Dinesh Karthik 2. Wriddhiman Saha 3. Parthiv Patel He's the 3rd preference, a.t.m.
Aaku Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 But he always wanted to take his wife to NZ ? :dontknow: Kheleyga ! :orderorder:
Sid Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 But he always wanted to take his wife to NZ ? :dontknow: Kheleyga ! :orderorder: SERIES IS IN INDIA
Lord Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 But he always wanted to take his wife to NZ ? :dontknow: Kheleyga ! :orderorder: :fail: NZ series is in India
Desi Cartman Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Its the way forward for Indian cricketers, the established ones should be upfront about it
