Sangakkara blasts Sehwag for stoking fire

IMO, Sanga may have a point when he believes that Sehwag escalated. However, Sehwag's initial graciousness may be a result of not then knowing that the no ball was deliberate. At this stage we'll never know. What I do see is arrogance and chippiness on both sides. The Lankans can deal with their issues; as an Indian all I can say is that the players and more so fans (myself included) who defended Bhajji and his highly amusing excuse of maaki should be careful when we generally and generically blame others of hypocrisy and double talk. Meanwhile those involved did deserve to get some punishment and I am glad they did. We can say all we want, but the fact that the Lankans have cracked down on their own, however harshly, may have set something of a benchmark.

This is why I love to see people's age in their profiles. It would have saved lot of valuable time for other members. Even being an administrator (I still can't believe)' date=' it's hilarious the way how u generalize matters. FYI, 99% of SL fans don't accept current SL cricket board which u just generalize as little Lanka. :hysterical::hysterical:[/quote'] ..lucky me, coz whatever I did, I managed to become an admin on the most successful Indian cricket website and invite people like you to get riled up I had a Lankan roommate, banker and been to Ceylon as well, you are wonderful people but it's really an issue where the instigator blames the victim, and he only happens to be the Captain who represents your national cricket team so yes, it's very hard not to generalize it Learn this – never wake up a sleeping giant

Firstly' date=' I don't think this whole incident as a serious one as the way u guys thinking. For me, it was just a funny childish act mainly by Dilshan (I would little disappointed if it was done by Randiv alone). [b']But here, one crazy guy waited to finish things-off by hitting a six and show his heroics (Sehwag and Dhoni had fair opportunities to get the hundred).
Thats the way he plays, he always scores tons by hiting centuries. May be you dont folow Indian cricket. But 99.9 % of his tons have came up by hiting 6.
Then another crazy guy had some other ideas. :hysterical: All for a personal milestone and no influence for the match result. I must say I had a good laugh at it. So because of that what I said is naturally not a cover up. I just pointed out Sehwag's proud history. :giggle: That's about it. I don't give too much interest into personal milestones in a team game. What is really shameful is if u cheat to win the match. If SL player did something like Sehwag did or some-other player did it to us, I would love to see him getting a punishment.. plus I won't them to cancel the result and called-off it as a no-result match (based on how much influence had it for the final result). But still, I won't go crazy like u guys did.
When did Sehwag Cheat to win a match?

No kidding. Were we really talking about cricket boards and money and not money given to individual fans? :omg: Thanks for the clarification. Must be a by product of the structured school system :hehe:

Sanga has done nothing wrong in the incident. That's my opinion. If any Indian player to do a bad thing, somehow I'll drag Yuraj into it (even if he is not playing) and make him the main culprit. That's the way it is, isn't it? BTW I don't like Yuraj. :--D Okk ok no problem. But I still find ur posts lil childish. Don't know why. :winky:

I just tried to show u the two main characters in the incident - Sehwag and Dilshan - and the way they play their game. The problem is not the six hitting but so much concern after missing it?? And he could have aware the fact that there is another guy like him in the fielding side. Edit: Sehwag's intentions in that incident against SA was to win, don't know the result of the match.

So knowing that one of his team member is deliberately going to ball a no-ball and not stopping him as the team's captain is doing the right thing then? And then lying through his teeth in the press conference is the right thing too?

It amuses me to see so many Lankan fans jumping up & down here defending the indefensible. Suffice to say there is hardly any gentlemen left in cricket. His fake accent and his BS statements notwithstanding, Sangakarra is as much as a con as the rest. It is part of cricket these days & we should just accept it & move on. Personally I dont care if Veeru missed a century. And as for Veeru's comments, he talks like he plays his cricket (unlike Sangakarra, who makes hypocritical statements). He is a straight shooter. And no, the Indian board did not ask the Lankan board to bow down & act on its players. The SL board did it on its own. This is how the politics of economics works. The rich and the powerful always get a special treatment. Amd all this is only good for Sangakarra if you think about it -- afterall he needs the support of the Indian fans to earn his next pay cheque at the IPL. Had Sangakarra simply said, yeah we screwed up in the heat of the moment, he would not have gone down in my estimation. Instead he made one hypocritical statement after the other making this matter 10 times worse. I think he deserves this negative publicity.
probably the best post on this topic.:hatsoff:

^ What people here trying to achieve by dragging Sanga into this? It's similar to what I would have done to Yuvaraj in a similar situation. It's just fun. So I don't bother to defend Sanga unless it's a meaningful argument. :finger: BTW I also don't like Sanga as SL captain.. just because of his negative captaincy. :--D

Lol, don't trust ur friends Sinhala translation nor media shows (both Indian and Sri Lankan). My opinion is based on the real incident. There Sanga has nothing to do with it. End of story. :two_thumbs_up:
