@lurker :hello: which have more energy? milk or real juice or mausami juice?
They are all good at different times SJ. real juice and Mausambi juice is best after exercise, or phir after some mehnat, or if you are sick. Digest easy and quick. Milk digest slowly but also has protein, fruits and juice do not, so milk is better for building body. Take it during morning or at night before bed so it takes time to digest.

Is there any exercise for building calves.. That has been my weak spot Ellipcitcal with maximum resistance helps a bit. But it is a slow progress.
Calf raises with weight you can manage for about 15 reps (calves need high reps), deep squats may help too. I reckon you probably don't really need to specifically train calves or forearms unless your very advanced. Compound movements probably work them enough.

Jump Squats are great for hitting calves. You can do it on an elevated surface with just body weight. Jump rope is also pretty good, gets my calves burning much as well.

I am nowhere close to advanced.. But i can clearly tell they are under developed compared to other parts. fore arms are getting better. But calves... still not proportionate to Thighs.

+1 it really really hurts once you cross a minute or two.

calves are generally built for endurance and there is a genetic limit on their size. But it is a small muscle and it is not advisable to train them exclusively. Asides from normal exercises like calf raises etc, you will find a great deal of improvement from sprinting. Sprinting also is an anabolic training method and willl help in muscle growth and fat loss. A good sprint session will involve running at 90% of your max capacity for 30-40 m ..walking back to the starting point and repeating it atleast 6 times. As your stamina grows, you can increase the distance and the repetitions.

I am 5'7''. I lost 3 kilos from 74 kg to 71kg within a week. Secret to my success??? Eat some dodgy stuff. Get a very bad case of diarrhea. Forced to eat bland food, drink plenty of water. End up losing 3 kilos in a week. :(( But at least now I look a lot younger. :D

You probably lost lot of water. Once you regained your health you will pack the weight very quickly. Not an ideal way to lose weight :cantstop:

Good stuff.Keep updating.. :two_thumbs_up: As for the knee pain. do you try to run like top level atheletes (i.e. on your toes)? Don't do that.Instead land on the ball of your foot.Try to glide by pushing off rather than stomping. Have warmups before and after your run and start slowly before hitting your stride. Have recovery periods. Dont run if your knees are paining all the time and if you absolutely have to, run on grass.

You learnt it the hard way, but this is often used by folks to lose weight when pressed for time. To use laxatives. Most people who lift seriously, and take supplements go through a cleansing cycle ever so often. No they dont get diarrohea but they do for what is called as colone cleansing (sp?). Eat lot of fibres, anti-oxidants etc and just let all the waste leave your body, pun intentional. It doesnt get you ripped, but it sure will get you easy on your waistline.

I started running outside around Sep-October last year, thought it was really working for me and then winter started and then started Tread-mill which is what completely f'ed up my knees....I might have overdid it though :dontknow:

Yoda guruji has covered it pretty much, but you can also perhaps look for some joint supplements, specially those built with Cissus Quadrangulis, an Indian herb that is getting increasingly popular in the West. There are also fish oil and related joint supplements that you can get from Costco and/or Sams Club. Natural and works for most people.
