vamos_rafa Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 IPL is one phenomenon which makes me feel the most jittery about cricket. With so much of hoopla and showbaazi it is a very easy target for these fecking fixers.
King Tendulkar Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 News of world reporter " No evidence of indian bookmakers being ivolved"
Gunner_Mania Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 mr Lalit Modi was in England last week SO?? I see you posting this in every other thread? Whats your point?
Rajan Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 ICL final which i watched once was very suspicious. Naved Rana bowled 2 leg side wides for 4's in the last over. Tony Greig was the commentator and was saying-" i want a bowl out, i want a bowl out" before the last ball.Lahore Badshahs were playing an indian city franchise team i think.
Zap_Brannigan Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 mr Lalit Modi was in England last week So was the queen
CSK Fan Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 mr Lalit Modi was in England last week So was shahrukh and Ambani. did they opay the fixers too?

Fetch_it Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Should we be worried? I am not, are you? :haha:
asterix Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 As they say in Bengali, "Shob Dosh, Nondo Ghosh"..(Blame everything on Nand Ghosh).. I'm pretty sure everybody will blame, India, BCCI, IPL, Indian bookies for this current issue of Pak players cheating all over the World. Just like Pakistan keeps on blaming everything on India, I'm pretty sure it will come to the point that "if betting is not legalised in India (not possible), there's no solution".. Blaming India is the easiest way out now for everybody..ISI must already be in contact with that Mazhar guy to blame everything on India..
saneindian Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Involvement of ICC's anti corruption unit and a complete watch on off field activities of players during IPL and CL has become absolutely necessary now. There have to be no absolutely no laxity on the laid out ground rules and any player going away from the rules needs to be disciplined there and then. Also its time our govt took the issue of illegal betting seriously and the ring of these underground thugs should be destroyed once and for all to save the game of cricket. As long as those bookies remain, they will continue to find easy targets willing to flow with them.
Fetch_it Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Involvement of ICC's anti corruption unit and a complete watch on off field activities of players during IPL and CL has become absolutely necessary now. Keeping any sport clean is equivalent of trying to get your virginity back :sherlock:
IKnowU Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Keeping any sport clean is equivalent of trying to get your virginity back :sherlock: :giggle:
hitman1980 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I am sure many many players from all over the world r involved .. This is just a tip of an iceburg .. Foreign players openly want to sacrifice their careers to play in IPL .. so I am sure there is every chance of foreign players involved ...
HowardRoark Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 should we be worried?could any of our players be involved in it Some of you are always worried about something or other anyway...so just a part of daily life for you guys :giggle:
Sachinism Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Atherton is blaming India winning wc in 1983 so giving rise to poularity of odis. Also blaming 20/20 ipl franchises. Blames the change of power to the east(no doubt longs for days of england and aussies running it) meaning that nothing will be done. It should be noted englands bowling coach is Mullah Mushtq who was implicated by Qayyum report in that "sufficent grounds to cast doubt" Sarfraz Nawaz claims Mushi is the biggest match fixer. He's only taken the England job to act as a middle man between players and match-fixers lol
Sachinism Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 If any Indians are involved, I hope they're found out and receive the same punishment. I'm pretty sure matches in the IPL were fixed
gaurav92 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Why worried? If there is anybody and they get cleaned up its good isnt it. Any chance of getting Jadeja out of the team through this? No one would pay him to bowl badly coz he does the same even without being paid. And no one would risk their moneys to pay him for good bowling.... So the conclusion is that Jaddu isn't involved in this mess, and he cannot be thrown out through this. :((:((
gaurav92 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 If any Indians are involved, I hope they're found out and receive the same punishment. I'm pretty sure matches in the IPL were fixed Yes some matches in IPL were fixed even i get the same feeling, but more so in IPL 2 held in the Punter's Rainbow nation :D
zen Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Bookies (Indian or others) may try to indulge you in to selling out because that's there business, they don't care much about the game. But as a cricketer representing your country, you are not suppose to sell yourself out What the next excuse for falling for wine, women and wealth? Oh they are out there and come to us so how can we resist? For reference, Aamer and Gul fought for a fielding position because girls happened to be stationed there :P
