the investigations r bound to reveal more things as they go on.Majeed guy has already named a Indian bookie.its possible that cricketers of other nations r involved too should we be worried?could any of our players be involved in it

yea.. y shud we be worried.... its the cricketers who have a contacts with bookies who should be worried. DOnt we all want to watch fair cricket being played on the field rather than fixed games?

there is an indian name-DHEERAJ Dixit , cameraman, floating around in this sordid mess , as an intermediary of Majeed.apparently he is close to some indian players as well. i think the last 2 days would have given enough sleepless nights to who ever that was/were/are involved with such fixers, among the indian team. they would do everything to cover their trails. BCCI is well known for cover up of everything that is potentially an head ache/ambarassment for them.there would be new 'code of conduct' mails/letters/agreements with all contracted players.instructions to respective state associations about "spot fixing' and all. to be frank i would not be surprised that much if say,Ravinder Jadeja or some one is implicated.no offence meant, just an example. i would be shocked if the names of any seniors is discussed.

True, and if there are some current Indian players spot fixing while playing for their country they will get exposed - and that is good, because I don't want to see fixers playing for my team. And if no names come up then that's great.

Unlike Pakis , Indian players have way to much to lose, what that bookie offered was peanuts compared what these guys make in IPL. Also with seniors like Sachin, Laxman, Dravid, Sehwag cant see anyone even joke about match fixing in that dressing room.

Atherton is blaming India winning wc in 1983 so giving rise to poularity of odis. Also blaming 20/20 ipl franchises. Blames the change of power to the east(no doubt longs for days of england and aussies running it) meaning that nothing will be done. It should be noted englands bowling coach is Mullah Mushtq who was implicated by Qayyum report in that "sufficent grounds to cast doubt"

^ Lol @ athers. I think he's more concerned about the shift of the power base than the match fixing. Its true that most of the bookies and fixing incidents are coming up from asia but that does not mean that the whites are sane. Warne and Mark Waugh had their names being cropped up. ACB was linient at them IMO. And about the OP. I think anyone who is guilty should be thrown out,and let that anyone be how so ever big a name. The game is bigger than any one individual.

Its true though. The betting syndicate here is bigger than anywhere else. Won't be surprised if the IPL was largely fixed tbh! Guys like Prabhakar, Azhar et all don't grow up in vacuum.

its got nothing to do with change of power , its our attitude due to which nothing happens, the biggest sporting crisis this country has faced is 34 days away , yet kalmadi is still there proclaiming he is the boss
