Can we just do the right thing for once?

Not bloody bother with Pakistan cricket here... It's alarming the amount of cricket about Pakistan is discussed. I have to say even the ones mocking Pakistan is getting too predictable and boring. I think unless PCB/ICC does something about the fixers we should utterly and completely stop discussing Pakistan cricket here. The first page of the forums looks more like a Pakistani forum rather than an Indian one. Just a thought. Whether you guys agree or not I'm not going to watch a single Pakistani game from now on unless they do some clean ups ASAP. Moreover the world cup is looming around too, I'd be bloody worried about the results in the world cup and how much is it going to be rigged.

We've tried to nudge people off Pak obsession but our members here believe this is antipakcricketfans.com and not an ICF site. There is no point in pleading to these members and ask them to let Pak and its cricket be. This is one of the main reasons why good dissection of cricketing play has stopped on ICF and it's merely used for spewing hatred towards are padosis.

Actually, from a cricket POV, I used to enjoy watching Pak cricket..new players, tumbling of wickets, pace bowlers, andha-dhooni shots but everything will seem fake now

The biggest scandal in the history of this sport is just days old and it involves pakistan. What do you expect? The story itself is front page news and not just sports section and it has evolved from a NOTW article to videos, others talking about bookies, discussion on banning players to discussion to banning a country. This news is much bigger than anything we have seen and unlike a great match or random scandal, this has been going on for days and it keeps on giving. It has overshadowed SL win, Eng winning the test series and even the champions league which is just about to start.Once the verdict is out, this topic will die down but until then what the hell do you expect? It would have been just the same if it was any other country in the top 8.

Yours is a poor excuse to our obsession with Pakistan at least on this forums. Your POV is understandable but BB is right, we have this culture of discussing more of Pakistan's failure than enjoying our successes. It has to be said at times it feels like we exist because of Pakistan. I can't understand this obsession with Pakistan's cricket and its pitfalls. I can certainly assure you only on Indian forums are Pakistan discussed as much. None of the other forums representing other nations discuss Pakistan as much as we do. If I had a magic button I would have used to make the Pakistan related posts/threads (good or bad) disappear :winky: Strangely I notice on my recent visit to India people just don't even talk about Pakistan. During my stay in India I didn't hear a single word about Pakistan. In fact "Pakistan" wasn't even mentioned. It must be the expats or forums thingy and thank god for that :two_thumbs_up:

I wouldn't want to see so many threads everywhere about Pakistan. Even our front page has an article relating to Pakistan even if it's a light hearted banter :(( New comers will see us as Pakistan obsessed website rather than representing India and Indian cricket.

So i just did a thread count of all things pak in page 4 of this forum since that page was before the whole match fixing scandal started. In that page, there are 17 threads that are about Indian cricket, 11 are about general cricket, 5 each about Aus and Pak cricket. SO are we just as obsessed with Aus ? Considering that Aus wasnt even playing then, i would say it matters more. Pak is the bunt of all jokes here, so expect a few jabs at them but compared to all the crap that we talk about here, we talk a lot of India and world cricket.
