Bumper Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 Invest in emerging markets (look for fundsthat invest in Brazil, Russia, China & India). EEM, EWZ, FXI are a few examples. Invest in metals (UNWPX is a good fund).

sgusa Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 Keep posting some more' date=' or make some new threads :P[/quote'] Ah, the second bit explains why Finey has so much already. finey is a master of opening threads. At the last place we were at, Finey single handedly was responsible for half the threads in the entire forum!

Lurker Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Ok, it goes over Now 1 CAD dollar gets 1.02 US I think its time to just drive down to the US and shop Thats what many Candians are doing actually. Oddly enough US tourism is booming due to falling dollars what with Europeans, Canadians and everyone else coming over to USA. Strangely enough the falling dollar has boosted econony in a completely different way. And to think few months back USA Govt was bullying China to undervalue its currency :hysterical::hysterical: seems like before the end of this year we would see Dollar in its mid 30s(compared to Indian rupee)
The Outsider Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I was reading some Wall Street Journal articles suggesting another 10% fall is needed to avoid chances of recession next year.
Rajiv Posted October 16, 2007 Author Posted October 16, 2007 I know, wish had some extra $$ to buy a house in the US But you know whats screwed up, we still pay lotta $$ for stuff here. I am sure all this has to change now, US D ain't going up soon.
gorah_pindu Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 WTF is happening I am not exchanging a good chunk of US $$ for atleast 2 years now It's going down and down 1 US $ = $1.10 CAD ( Hardly any difference there now) 1 US $ = 40.55 Rupees Almight US Dollar vat laga giya Any hope for improvement? I think its about two dollars to the British pound. Except we usually pay more than that for stuff. I.E. $60 game should cost £30, but instead costs £40. Also the rupee is going up right now, because India dosent control it like the Chinese do with theirs.
jaideep Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 seems like the day is not far away when 1INR = $40 U.S:haha::D
Rajiv Posted November 7, 2007 Author Posted November 7, 2007 Holy grail Gone further down Now $1 CAD = $1.10 US
Cricketics Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 well just did a western union yesterday to India just got bloody 38.xxx damn it
