One more thing. I really hope that Indian business leaders also learn from them. It is also the responsibility of every Indian especially the business leaders to work for the society but barring Tata all the rest seems interested only in amassing wealth rather than working for the nation.

What responsibility ? No one is obliged to indulge in philanthropy, but it is also true sharing is caring. But why only the ones with big pockets are "responsible" to share ? Every citizen should be sharing something or other with the poor ones (magnitude of sharing is totally irrelevant), but we don't often do it.

Plus he gets some control over the school board and can contribute in the matters of curriculum etc., Now that's a good thing. The guv'nor (christie) can still veto, but the sensible ones he can't. I wish Mukesh Ambani did something like instead of building a concrete mansion for his Lady.

I have always tried to help wherever I can and I have a lot of plans on how I will do further help as I keep on making economic progress. I am not saying about continuing philanthropy forever but at least till we build India as a nation which Gandhiji and all of us dreamed we should continue with the same. That is why I always say we need to change the collective Indian psyche for us to achieve the ideal developed nation in the future that we have always dreamed of.
