SachDan Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 It's a pity that a batsman of Ponting's stature is having such a mediocre record in India and this probably being his last opportunity, he will be hungrier than ever to do well in India. So he's gonna be the batsman to watch out from both sides. Man never shies away from a challenge and he has couple of them lying ahead here. 1) To prove he's not a bad player of spin bowling under sub-continental conditions 2) to bridge the gap between him and Sachin in terms of runs and centuries. That way he will be doubly determined this time around! I'm expecting him to score 300 plus runs with couple of tons in this short series. Good luck Ponting :two_thumbs_up:
kabira Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 He will be pain in *****$. Whose *****$ we will know at the end of the series.
Sir john Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 pointing in my ss team and one of my favourite players, hope a good series for him.:two_thumbs_up:

Bradman99 Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Interesting prediction, I'm gonna go with it.. Ponting to have a big one!
ludhianvi Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 @jinx *headshake* The next few series are very important for Ponting considering the poor run of form he has run into in recent times. He will be on his toes both as a batsman and a captain throughout this series. Really looking forward to seeing how he copes with the expectations. He would be looking to rectify his awful stats in India even though he got a century last time around. he surely will if Bhajji doesnt play Dont forget the other partner in crime, Ishant Sharma

It's the perfect opportunity for Sharma to steal the bunny.:eyedance:
ludhianvi Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Apart from that edge to Dhoni, where he was falling over.. he has looked solid. yeah i know pitch is a bit flat but still looks in good touch. Well Done
