Deleted_User_1 Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 India tried but too many missed opportunities...............can we come back or is going to be a series loss?
Manny_Pacquiao Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 indian batting doesnt fail collectively that often, but this 2nd innings was a real bad one. basically no one ever looked convincing, apart from maybe tendulkar. leaving aside the obvious mistakes made on day 1, india just lost too many wickets at the end of day 4. its not that big a surprise to be honest, india always play badly in the first test of a series. and they always come back strong. this time wont be any different - and it doesnt matter if we're playing at bangalore.
kabira Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Congrats Ponting for winning 1st Test in India after so many attempts. This was our Test. Loss will heart. Can they come back? Hope so, don't want to lose BG Trophy. The 2 Test match series is not ideal.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 2 test series is fkn bullshit. watching ishant bat right now makes me feel angry at guys like dhoni and raina for throwing their wickets away so cheaply. even a 20 something from them would have made a difference.
Rajiv Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 areee yaar ek saala toss to jeete, every time they bat first..we wanna bat first and lets see how they reply
Deleted_User_1 Posted October 5, 2010 Author Posted October 5, 2010 Sh*t happens! One loss, big deal. We Indian fans get carried away (guilty myself), but this Indian has won more in the last few years than all the Indian teams of yester years. Oh well, life goes on. Time to hit the sack.
Bradman99 Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Why do you all give up so quickly? Are you trying to jinx it or just naturally do you give up like this?
Manny_Pacquiao Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Why do you all give up so quickly? Are you trying to jinx it or just naturally do you give up like this? i am being realistic. i was believing we could win as long as we had bhajji there. he is an accomplished tailender that can score some big runs. problem is ishant is gonna get a lot of strike and its only a matter of time before the aussies knock him over. they are too good not to. and then ojha has no batting ability so won't last 10 minutes.
SachDan Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Congrats Pwnting on your first win as captain in India!
Andy Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Batting has been sh!t in the 2nd innings i must say. Even though Aus scored 190 off they batted beter than us. Can somone tellme, what for Dhobi is in the team? MC cant win tosses (made a world record of losing 9 toses in a row), cant catch, cant make runs. And our tail is one of the worst in the world. Even Swann , Broad scored 40s and 50s against Aus . But they cant cross even 10. We became World No.1 by playing World Class Cricket, we'll soonlose it if we contniue to play like the pussies.
DomainK Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 This target should have been chased. We batted bad. But then, it's a game, **** happens.
thevortex Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Why do you all give up so quickly? Are you trying to jinx it or just naturally do you give up like this? Indeed! With Laxman batting as he is, if I was an Australian, I would be oh-so-jittery. Bollinger is the danger man as far as India is concerned. I like how he has established himself so well so soon in the Australian setup.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Indeed! With Laxman batting as he is, if I was an Australian, I would be oh-so-jittery. nah. he rotates strike too much and ishant is going to crack soon. its just a waiting game and everything in between is academic. i dont think any aussie would be too concerned right now. but if india can get it down to 30 or less, then they might be a bit worried...
asterix Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Congrats Pwnting and Aussiess.. Tdigi.. I blame this loss to the inclusion of Dravid in the top banner. Could you please replace it by VVS Laxman's face? It might work..
thevortex Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 nah. he rotates strike too much and ishant is going to crack soon. its just a waiting game and everything in between is academic. i dont think any aussie would be too concerned right now. but if india can get it down to 30 or less, then they might be a bit worried... You guys keep saying this about Laxman. But then he has been successful for so long playing the same way. And Ishant is not an absolute mug with the bat. Ask Bradman99 if you want an opinion from the horse's mouth :).
fineleg Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Laxman has done his part with a hurt back. Tendulkar has done a bit at least. The failures are Raina, Dravid and Sehwag - they never came to the party in the 2nd Inn :banghead: Gambhir got shafted :(( And Dhoni and Raina should have been more careful for running between wickets with runner situation. Anyway - @Aus (+Billy cowdung) :finger: No congrats, they did not deserve to win this. This is India's loss, and good luck for Bangalore
fineleg Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 2nd Inn/4th Inn - Lax is the real deal Dravid hung his bat out to dry AGAIN. SRT got cute (as he sometimes does) Sehwag, Raina - not the 2nd Inn specialists that VVS is.
fineleg Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Very disappointed with Dravid in the 4th Inn, BeemBhai. Very much so. He needed to put his hand up in the chase. Let down. But again :finger: to :punter: and his team which includes Ump.Charmers. No congrats for those cheats (they are incompetent enough to be called cheats).
