Gunner_Mania Posted October 5, 2010 Author Posted October 5, 2010 only in ipl but isn't that the best cricket according to you?
Desi Cartman Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 pujara for VVS but get him to bat at 3 Sree for I Sharma PaPa for MSD :phehehe:
King Tendulkar Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 only in ipl Nope he somehow manufactured himself in to a limited overs player. But he is specialist longer overs player. You will see how good he is eventually. I have seen enough to now he can deliver big time.
Fontaine Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I would only play Sree if Ishant doesn't pass a fitness test. The rest should be unchanged.
spectre Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 If VVSL is not ready Gambhir Sehwag Vijay / Laxman Sachin Dravid Raina Dhoni Ashwin Zaheer Ishant / Sreesanth Ohja
Sid Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Pujara and Sreesanth ,only if injury is that serious but i have a feeling Vijay will replace Laxman
vvvslaxman Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 No Vijay. He is an opener. He messes things up when he bats anywhere else.
Karan114 Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Gambhir and Ishant will miss the second Test, Mukund and Unadkat in their place http://www.cricinfo.com/india-v-australia-2010/content/current/story/480066.html Surely Rahane should have been the replacement given that he made a century in the tour game against the Aussies? And why is Mithun not in the Test plans at all now after playing on the tour of Lanka? Of course Vijay and Sreesanth will replace the injured players in the XI but still. Seems like Laxman is fit enough to play which is good.
Gunner_Mania Posted October 5, 2010 Author Posted October 5, 2010 If Gambhir misses more likely Vijay will open, and Mukund will warm benches.

Shane Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Sree for Ishant Vijay for Laxy ++ Was about to type the same, and saw my dear friend Katie concurs. :D
VRV Singh Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 :hmmm: Sehwag Vijay Dravid Tendulkar Laxman Raina Dhoni Harbhajan Zaheer Sreesanth Ojha If VVS is also unfit then Pujara in his place, I suppose.
Guest Gunner Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 If VVS is not fully fit he should not play. If his back seizes up during the next match then the ozzies are not obliged to allow him a runner as it cannot be considered an injury picked up during the course of the match. Then we would effectively be one player down.

Agreed Mukund got a 100 and a 60+ against Mumbai, but so did Rahane. he got a 100 against the Aussies & also against ROI. As usual selection logic defies conventional wisdom.
Sachinism Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Rahane should have been the replacement even though he won't be used. VVS will be fit, even if half hit he'll batter the Aussies :P

Does not work in BCCI.
Lord Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Some bad news amongst celebrations Injured Gambhir and Ishant out of second Test Gautam Gambhir and Ishant Sharma will both miss the second Test against Australia in Bangalore due to injuries to their right knees. Tamil Nadu opener Abhinav Mukund and Saurashtra quick bowler Jaidev Unadkat, both of whom are uncapped, have been named as replacements. :(( hope Laxman is all right
Roshanrocks Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 how the feck can u ask Dhoni to be dropped if nothing else he has the most amazing luck as captain.... If i had a lucky charm like him in my club team, i would keep him, even if he didnt perform just so that my team keeps winning
