Clarke Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 I woudnt be suprised if Shoaib Akhtar is in the test squad New ball is very important on flat pitches, Early wickets are key at the risk of playing the remaining test with 3 bowlers after akhtar limps off the field, having bowled a beastly 8 overs in the first session ?
ShahidAfridi Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 at the risk of playing the remaining test with 3 bowlers after akhtar limps off the field' date=' having bowled a beastly 8 overs in the first session ?[/quote'] Rather have 8 beastly overs of Shoaib Akhtar than 20 overs of Ishant Sharma Quality > Quantity:dance:
yoda Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Rather have 8 beastly overs of Shoaib Akhtar than 20 overs of Ishant Sharma Quality > Quantity:dance: 8 beastly overs from Shoaib these days comes over 6 tests spanning 4 years. Anything to keep you guys at the bottom of the test table, I am all for it. :two_thumbs_up:
Asim Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 According to one Paksitani newspaper reason to delay in captain announcment is that PCB want to nominate ONE captain for all three formats, now who could be the man, Yousuf? Although no genuine reason to remove Afridi from ODI/T20 captaincy, he is not doing bad...

He seems to be the most level headed guy after Inzy.
Clarke Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Rather have 8 beastly overs of Shoaib Akhtar than 20 overs of Ishant Sharma Quality > Quantity:dance: u mean rank 6 > rank 1 lunacy over common sense
jf1gp_1 Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Rather have 8 beastly overs of Shoaib Akhtar than 20 overs of Ishant Sharma Quality > Quantity:dance: so you actually want to bring up quality of a bowler like Ishant who few days back not only ran through aussie middle order but also avg more with the bat than 3-4 of your test batsman this year When will you Pakistanis learn that you are a below avg team, you dont have talent and till you stop making excuse for all the players who are responsible for your current state you will continue losing for years and years to come. Let me see if you can understand why Indian team is what it is today. Deepdas gupta has a great debut, a wicketkeeper who could bat the way he did was absoluty fantastic, yet even though he was getting his runs he was dropped and never returned because he was a lousy keeper. We kept trying new guys till we found Dhoni and Kartik. Today the last thing Indian team needs to worry about is a keeper/ batsman because even our 3rd option parthiv is better than kamran.

IKnowU Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Mashallah Misbah the Great Misbah-ul-Haq appointed Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq has been appointed captain of Pakistan's Test side a day after he was recalled to the squad. Misbah, who was axed following the winless tour of Australia in 2009-10, is Pakistan's fourth Test captain this year. Shahid Afridi remains the captain of the ODI and Twenty20 squads. http://www.cricinfo.com/pakistan-v-south-africa-2010/content/story/480522.html?CMP=chrome :cantstop: The merry go around begins once more.............. 100 mil for the person who guesses correctly the reason Mishbah wont play after a couple of series.(retirement, dropped, match fixing etc.) First to correctly guess without editing wins.
Holysmoke Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Dropped from captaincy, but not from team :hehe: Younis will probably be back:hysterical:

Mamu Posted October 8, 2010 Author Posted October 8, 2010 u mean rank 6 > rank 1 lunacy over common sense Hmmm 6 is not greater than 1? Bhai, my Harvard has taught me 6 > 1, not sure where you got your education from. Do me a favor -- don't send your kids to Harvard.
