Broad is a clown. He has no idea what playing in Australia is like. The flat surfaces, the heat, the crowds, batsmen adept in playing huge innings in those conditions, the media. Broad would be wishing he never went on the tour by the time the Ashes are half way through. Not only is he a clown, he seems to have lost a marble or two when he is comparing the Australian batting line up at home with Pakistan in England. All these batsmen - Ponting, Hussey, Katich, Clarke etc. who were looking so vulnerable away become tigers at home as shown up in the huge differential in home and away average Australian batsmen carry. A comfortable 3-1 win to the Aussies, with Swann perhaps being able to win a test at Adelaide or Sydney.

Broad is ****. But I actually feel he will be their best bowler in oz. Anderson is toothless abroad Aussies are not that good. In fact they are 5th in world. Even at home people like North, Hussey and Katick will be vulnerable. Its gonna be a tight series betwen 5th and 4th. Draw is on the cards

So who is gonna do the batting for Poms ? Strauss is looking shaky and Peiterson is all kinds of ****ed up right now. :dontknow: Class act is not gonna score another double, thats for sure :phehehe: Is England relying on Cook and Bell ?

Yeah, the only way to put Australia under pressure at home on those flat pitches is to pile on huge scores like India has done. England's batting line up, while competent at best, just does not have batsmen who can play huge test innings. Unless you can score 450+ in Australia on at least a semi consistent basis you have no chance.

Actually the series in India ought to have helped Aussies fine tune their skills against spin bowling, esp the likes of Huss, Watto, Ponting and katich.. despite some of them having less than flattering numbers... I don't see how Swann can be more threatening on Australian pitches than say a Harby on Indian pitch... so that's some preparation in that regard..

I know plenty of us will be following the competiton regardless of the teams being no. 4 and no.5 in the competition, but should be a good series. I will be supporting Australia and would like them to kill England in the series. Though won't mind England wining a test to keep the series interesting. Aus might have been thrashed by India, but i don't see them getting owned by England. England is just having a field day after seeing Aus lose this badly to India. Whom you rooting for ?

He picked up a broken rib in their recent "boot camp" where they also practiced boxing. Apparently some guy punched him quite hard and broke a rib!! :hysterical: I never want any player to get injured but this is pure comedy. I wonder if it was one of the reserve bowlers who saw his chance for a place in the test side and got a bit excited!

I wish it could be as close a series as most would think here it is! :) I guess Englands best bet is to sneak in a draw or 2 somewhere.I see a very emphatic 4-0, or a 3-0 for the aussies! It will be very tough for Eng to bowl out the oppn twice. It will be one hard long series for them, but I hope for the sake of cricket lovers, one that would see some kind of an english fightback in them
