Sooda Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 ^ He has been injured for a while, and the Ranji season only starts now after last year anyway BTW that last FC match he played was the Duleep final where he took a 5-fer in the first innings and made 42 in the second innings to help West win
King Tendulkar Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 Interestingly Jadeja is ranked above Nehra in odi bowling rankings. If only the same vitriol was shown to goofy:giggle:
ViruRulez Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 ^ He has been injured for a while, and the Ranji season only starts now after last year anyway BTW that last FC match he played was the Duleep final where he took a 5-fer in the first innings and made 42 in the second innings to help West win He is a good player especially for the no.7 and nobody can deny that. But if he does not play in domestic cricket how will he improve his abilities. Yusuf has played a lot more matches and both are mostly in the same team. Irfan has to play more and more cricket if he wants to return to the team. Only by playing more cricket will he improve his fitness and skills. Anyways if he is so unfit then how will he play for the Indian team. He has to prove himself again for at least 8-10 domestic matches before he is chosen for the Indian team. I dont doubt his talent but I am really starting to question his dedication towards cricket. It cannot be possible that he has been injured for 2 years. For example, the last List A match he played was in Feb 2009 and I dont think he has been injured ever since that time. YKPs last List A was in October itself and so it is also not possible that List A matches are not going on at all. Irfan needs to play and work on his fitness to prove us all wrong again. If needed he can play a county season if he is fit.
someone Posted October 20, 2010 Author Posted October 20, 2010 True that! He has seriously pissed off some bigshot ... BCCI or team Mgmt ... Nothing else explains that BCCI doesn't even consider him to be in the top 40 players in the country' date=' leave alone fit for the first 15![/quote'] Typical fans nowadays. Get your fact right, IP is injured, no match practise so how can he be selected. So stop the blasting of BCCI
vvvslaxman Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 I think it is difficult to replace "talented" Vinay Kumar for Irfan :cantstop:
ViruRulez Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 I really hope Irfan starts playing domestic cricket again and concentrates on the game. In the current state even by playing a few matches he might be able to earn his place in the team as we are highly short of both bowlers as well as proper allrounders
someone Posted December 10, 2010 Author Posted December 10, 2010 Time to bump! Nearly two months already, yet IP has not played nor done anything in cricket while there are still many fans calling his name in our team. Crazy times!!!

vamos_rafa Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 The fascination somw have with crapthan is mind boggling. He was pretty poro even at his best I think IKP's career is heading towards being over, unless he does something which completely revives it like what Zak did. But lately I saw him saying in a very confident mode(like always) that I'll be back and acting as a judge on a show in MTv.
jibranpatel15 Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 BCCIshould have given chance to Irfan Pathan in currently concluded ODI series against NZ infact a lot earlier than that when thay brought in Ravindre Jadeja to Indian Team. He is far better allrounder than Jadeja and Batsmen aswell. I think he is the person who has been partialed by BCCI especially after Dhoni's arrival. I don't know what diffrences are there btw the dou but thats true. Dhoni doesn't want him even in T20 thats omnious signs of arrogance from Dhoni. BEST OF LUCK IRFAN PATHAN FOR YOUR CAREER AHEAH........

But do you know he is injured or rather he has not played any cricket over the last year. Therefore very useless post.

someone Posted March 18, 2012 Author Posted March 18, 2012 2 years already and still we have people believing in him as the messiah and yet again he disappoints.
NareshK Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 With his slow pace, if he is not absolutely perfect with line and length he will be taken for runs on flat tracks. He cant bowl yorkers or change of pace, so he is not good in death overs. He should be a 5th bowling option but Dhoni is using him as a main bowler.
SachDan Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 He's finished! I'm scared of writing obituary even for player like Jadeja but I've no second thoughts about this..he's gone for good!

How unfair.

gaurav92 Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 He has that swing going and I think he has been good with the new ball. But on these flat featherbeds, you cannot expect him to do a Marshall or a Holding and blast the opposition away.

I think he could be a replacement for Jadeja or Yusuf Pathan, especially in seamer friendly conditions and not as a opening/strike bowler.
