simply amazing, no words to describe it really! and why bring in Afridi in this thread, and start an unwanted debate....abdul razzaq is not even 10% of afridi, yet he is this good, just imagine what afridi is like......

I watched a bit and one of the Pak commentators said that Razzaq seems different today, he's bowling with a purpose. I went to sleep and had a feeling that this guy will do something special today, more to do with the ball. I woke up after some time for a glass of water and saw he's batting with Alam and was like maybe this is over, woke up now and simply mesmerized. Can't wait to see the highlights

He was with the tail, a tail who couldn't even rotate the strike and kept getting run out for the majority of his innings. The pressure on him was immense for so many reasons, rarely has a victory by Pakistan been needed as badly as this one to lift the morale. I would put this in the top 3 ODI innings of all time and the single most brutal display of power hitting chasing in a LONG LONG time. It's easy to get over excited, especially after the adrenaline rush from such an innings, but this has to go down as Pakistan's greatest ODI innings and one of the top 3/4 of all time. I can't think of many better than this one.

Apart from the obvious few innings like the Gibbs one, the Viv Richards one, can you think of many which are better? I know it's difficult for you to accept the brilliance of his performance today, but even die hard Indian fans would agree that was something very special.

It was brutal for sure, and 183 is a huge personal score, but and here is the big but, it wasn't with the tail. As for guys coming out with those Sachin innings, they were awesome, but, here is the big but, most of them were in failed chases. Razzaq held his nerve till the end and won the game. Awesome innings, brutal innings by Razzaq. A different kind of innings to the ones Tendulkar produces.

Actually Sachin's sharjah knock was pretty brutal and won us the final almost single-handedly. As for Dhoni's knock, the next highest score was 39 and no other batsmen crossed 25 in a chase of 299. that says something unlike Razzaq who got support from Afridi and Fawad

Have to agree it should go down as one of the greatest knocks in ODI history especially since he did it chasing.Viv Richards's knock where in he added 120 odd with Holding for last wicket , this was so very close to that knock.

But the criteria for the great innings has been changed to "Did he bat with tailenders ?" If no, put them in Tendulkar's bracket
