ZodiaC Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Steyn and Asif' date=' Especially Asif gets Murdered on Flat track hence a GTB.[/quote'] Totally agree about Asif, he's a GTB, but Steyn can reverse the ball at express pace - which makes him lethal. Offlate he's a bit out of form, but still the best bowler currently by a country mile.
Raghav_12 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Good servant to Indian Cricket but with a average of 29 you are not world class. Steyn and Asif are miles ahead of the rest imo Nowadays 28-29 is world class. From current players, having substantial number of wickets, only Steyn averages less than that. I'll consider Swann and Asif once they get aggregate at least 150 wickets. All others are in range of 28-35, worldwide.
fineleg Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 No doubts Z Khan is best pacer in the world at the moment. LEGEND:hatsoff: You forgetting D.Steyn or are you choosing to ignore him :winky: or are you getting technical with your "at the moment" clause?
mastana Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Steyn and Asif' date=' Especially[b'] Asif gets Murdered on Flat track hence a GTB. Say this to any pakora fan and they will say things like "Asif owned shewag" "Asif destroyed shewag" "Asif murdered shewag" "Asif nuked shewag" "Asif traumatized shewag" and ask you to watch this video. :hysterical: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uA6shWCU1s]YouTube - Virender Sehwag gets OWNED by Mohammed Asif[/ame]
vaibhav_delhi Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Good servant to Indian Cricket but with a average of 29 you are not world class. Steyn and Asif are miles ahead of the rest imo asif's only 100 wkts old with 90% of his matches played on seamer friendly tracks, where bowlers like anderson, watson, kulashekhara outbowl him. He is just an average bowler who was a druggie too. but yeah, dale steyn is very good. 350 wickets is world class for a fast bowler and avg of 29 is good.
vaibhav_delhi Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Say this to any pakora fan and they will say things like "Asif owned shewag" "Asif destroyed shewag" "Asif murdered shewag" "Asif nuked shewag" "Asif traumatized shewag" and ask you to watch this video. :hysterical: haha....and tht too knowing that the guy was a drug cheat and a match fixer and an average bowler. how pathetic.
King Tendulkar Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 You forgetting D.Steyn or are you choosing to ignore him :winky: or are you getting technical with your "at the moment" clause? At the moment Khan is better then Steyn

He can own any batsman on Green tracks.
urbestfriend Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I have said already he is a GTB. He can own any batsman on Green tracks. Charsi a GTB?:hmmm: I'd thought he has succeeded everywhere..! I know where you're coming from , but it is not his speed that gets him the wickets. can you back up your statement with stats?
Andy Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Charsi a GTB?:hmmm: I'd thought he has succeeded everywhere..! I know where you're coming from ' date=' but it is not his speed that gets him the wickets. can you back up your statement with stats?[/quote'] Averages 42 in Pak. STATS
urbestfriend Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Averages 42 in Pak. STATS :hmmm: So you came to a conclusion that charsi is GTB based on 4 tests he played at home in 2006-07 ? So according to you, all the pitches in Pakistan are phattas and all other pitches are green :giggle:
jusarrived Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Charsi a GTB?:hmmm: I'd thought he has succeeded everywhere..! I know where you're coming from ' date=' but it is not his speed that gets him the wickets. can you back up your statement with stats?[/quote'] his only series on flat pitch was the SA home series , where if IIRC he avgd 65+ ..has played bluk of his matches in Eng , Nz, SA and Aus .

So according to you' date=' all the pitches in Pakistan are phattas and all other pitches are green :giggle:[/quote'] Not really, If you want i can refine the stats and post his average where AVG score of the match has been 350 or more. Hope that will convince you :--D I gave stats of matches played in Pakistan because it is generally considered that Pak and Ind have the flattest of tracks in the world and while analysing batsmen Achivements in India and Pak are excluded.

See hes no playing in Dubai now , but was there in England & will be back for SA away series ..same in the past too , missed all Paks home games .
Sachinism Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Whats the news with his injury. Imagine going to SA without Zak

hari504504 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Second best I would say..after the Steyn!... He has to be rested for the next Test..we're risking burn-out of our ONLY real bowler in the country.... lets play all the 'unknowns' for the next test..worst case..our batting/bhajan would atleast ensure a draw
vaibhav_delhi Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Second best I would say..after the Steyn!... He has to be rested for the next Test..we're risking burn-out of our ONLY real bowler in the country.... lets play all the 'unknowns' for the next test..worst case..our batting/bhajan would atleast ensure a draw ++. Steyn > zaheer. zaheer's second best in the world right now. not sure abt resting him. would do so only if we win this match.
