Deleted_User_1 Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 I think India are going to be anally raped in SA. I see 0-2 series loss written all over. If they cannot beat a club side like NZ in their own backyard, then.....well. Actually this series is a moral win for NZ. They could have easily won the first test if not the heroics of Lax and Bhajji. And in the second test, they have gone toe to toe with the Indian attack which looks toothless. Steyn and Morkel will run through our vaunted lineup and Zak will be bowling with no support from the other end. Discuss! (
jf1gp_1 Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 depends on the kind of surface we get. on a track with something for the bowlers Indian bowling unit is not as good as SA but we cant be dismissed as crap. regarding our batting against NZ shot selection has been poor , something i dont expect Indian batsman to repeat in SA. I expect us to win one test 1-1 is what is expect.
Andy Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 2-0 to SA. We'll not be wining a single match as we did last time.
King Tendulkar Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 We just need to draw the first test. If we do that we will win the series. Apart from Steyn their bowlers have nothing to fear, we will teach morkel a leeson. We will win the series
King Tendulkar Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 2-0 to SA. We'll not be wining a single match as we did last time. Sree inspired us to a famous test match win last time
ViruRulez Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Cant comment right now. We are also a bit inconsistent sometimes but we are more consistent that chokers and so hopefully we will win. I dont want a lame draw series. Hope that we come with a win and the matches produce results at least. If we win the series against SA we can be nearly 100% sure of remaining at no.1 position for at least 1-2 years.
King Tendulkar Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Also we play at our best when fearful of losing and were we have respect for oppo that they will beat us. Also we play best when oppo abuses us and tries to indulge in winding us up like aussies/england, kiwis got it spot on in boot licking us and being very nice, we turn in to pussy cats then. Hope saffies wind us up and try to abuse us thinking it will help their cause when in fact it does the opposite.

bihutoli Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 If we manage to draw we should consider ourselves lucky!
hari504504 Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Steyn and Morkel will run through our vaunted lineup and Zak will be bowling with no support from the other end. :(( Disagree. Our other seamers find a whole new gear when bowling on pitches with bounce and movement. It will be an even contest , about the same as the Ashes this year
urbestfriend Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 1-0 India ...Sehwag MOS ...Sachin 50th century, Dravid's 200th catch...You heard it here first
ZodiaC Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Our bowling will be very good in SA conditions - don't get fooled by our bowling in these subcontinent pitches. We've always stepped up to the task in good bowling conditions. Take Amla, Kallis & Smith (vulnerable against the new ball) out, they are left with a pretty average batting unit. Bowlers, only steyn excels, Morkel is good, spinners sucks. So not half as hard as we are making it out to be.

Don't underestimate ABDV who is an excellent player of spin and always do well against India.
ZodiaC Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Don't underestimate ABDV who is an excellent player of spin and always do well against India. ABDV is a fine player of spin, but Sree/Zak will send him back early :--D Our main advantage is that our spinners & batsmen are way better than theirs.

I don't think our spinners are any better than theirs considering the current form(Raina vs Botha/Harris :hysterical:).. But our seamers will give them a run for their money depending on the conditions...

And in the second test, they have gone toe to toe with the Indian attack which looks toothless. :(( Agreed. NZ have the moral victory after 2 Tests. They had us on the mat in Test-1 and competed equally in Test-2. 0-0 after 2 Tests in India when the Indian team is #1 and having a full strength playing 11, is a big moral victory to NZ. 2-0 India. Now, I can say confidently SA will win the series 2-0. :winky: Zodiac has said it - the ultimate jinx has been served. :antijinx:
fineleg Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 I do hope we get the darn warmup matches in SA. We dont have a single warmup match. Englahd had so many warmup matches in Aus just coz its "Ashes". Not a single warmup for the Indian batsmen and bowlers, ridiculous by BCCI. That means Test-1 we will be at a disadvantage, and once SA gets the first Test, it will be an uphill battle for Indian team :((
