achilles Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 If they get to host this, the day is not far away when BCCI will have a competitor.
Hindustani Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 If they get to host this' date=' the day is not far away when BCCI will have a competitor.[/quote'] The popularity of the game takes decades to grow, there is a reason why International Cricket is only played in 10-12 countries even after 120+ years, infact i can't see any current game which got popular from no where in any country in the past 20 years

maniac Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 China has one of the best sports ethics when it comes to training and professionalism.don't know how much their cricketing infrastructure is yet.eg;Ireland is way superior now than what what Bangladesh was in the 90's but Bang was given Test status based on the infrastructure they had to support cricket. I will be interested to see how China will organise the tournament going by their record of being amazing organisers when it comes to sporting events.
Hindustani Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 China has one of the best sports ethics Man, must be high quality weed you are smoking :eyedance: Anyway in a BREAKING NEWS, China has adopted Pakistan Cricket team and here are the 11 players who will be representing China from now on 1. Abdul Liu 2. Kamran Wang 3. Younis Huang 4. Mohammad Chou 5. Umar Kuo 6. Shoaib Lin 7. Shahid Cheng 8. Abdur Sung 9. Umar Feng 10.Shoaib Tung 11.Saeed Tseng * Ask Chinese Officials why Umar and Kamran's last name are different :secret:
Hindustani Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 There will be < 200 supporters if the matches are held in China, they will be paid on hourly basis, 10% bonus for applause and PCB will declare it as great success :--D
maniac Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Man, must be high quality weed you are smoking When I said ethics I meant professional ethics,We all know how disciplined chinese sportsmen are and How china does in any world competition. Next time back your statement because what you said after that looked more like a drug-crazed rant but since it was under-hand pak bashing,it's always a guilty pleaseure.:winky:

Pak_Forever Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 They have to go a long way in terms of cricket. Hosting Asia Cup might be/ might not be a good idea. A cricketing culture needs to be developed before they take cricket seriously or another easier route is if China participates and shocks the world by winning against other Asian team/s. I don't mind China winning against Pakistan, then we can take the credit for unearthing another competitive cricket team. As we have done against several teams :--D
Guest Hiten. Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 The whole charade of Asia cup is a ridiculous concept and should be scrapped. Asia cup turns out to be a triangular series as BD are only there to provide match practice to the bigger bulldogs in Pak, SL and India.
