Ram Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I am amazed that there’s a person who thinks that a player, who is now into his 5th year of international cricket, continues to behave in the most inappropriate and immature manner on the field (frequently getting into needless confrontations with opposition players, making mock gestures when he gets opposition players, even legends of the game at that), has, in his own words, ‘done nothing wrong..’. and that the entire fault lies on the captain of the team who made a subtle reference to it in a press conference. So lets get this straight; Sreesanth acting in an immature manner on the field - Sree has done nothing wrong. Dhoni making a reference to Sree's antics in a press conference - DISGUSTING! :giggle:

And England and Australia dont go crying to the match ref like SA and Ind in the current series. Which loosely translates to Ashes being played with different rules. Thanks.

And reg. the public criticism part, you really don’t know how things work do you? Different people react differently. Some guys respond to a quiet, private word. Others need to be given a dressing down in front of everyone. And if it is suggestion that Dhoni somehow doesn’t know how to handle the players or the media, then that is a laughable insinuation really, considering what a refreshingly sharp contrast he has been compared to some of his predecessors, when it comes to matters of the media. the over rate is a valid concern. everything else isn't. its common knowledge that sree is that kind of guy and the only way u can get a good game out of him is if he is fired up. if dhoni has a problem with that, he should just tell the selectors not to pick him. if its true that dhoni was telling him off for misbehaviour or even over rates, i wouldn't be too happy. the captain's number 1 priority is to win the game. if a captain has a bowler that can take wickets and bowl good spells that could potentially win games, he shouldn't be too worried about him insulting other players and taking a few xtra mins to complete his overs. forget match fees and suspensions when a series victory is on the line

Sreesanth is worth framing and hanging on the front porch. What does Sree have to do for you to think he overstepped the line? Kill somebody maybe?

That is percived as brilliant. When sree does it hang him! Warne constantly says that when struggling he would just pick a fight to get himself going and get in to batsman. The histrionics warne did with batters and umpires is a list to long. But when he did it is senn as great theatre. Dhoni got it horribly wrong and has cost us a series victory. Horrible captaincy! Should have fed sree more raw meat and poked him with hot stick. We could have won this series, a golden opportunity, yet dhoni more interested in spreading the message of love.

What sreesant exhibits on the field, isn’t that. i am with u man, i watched the whole game. he IS one of a kind, he needs to do this kind of stuff to get wickets. i was laughing at the guy's appeals against kallis, he is quite a character but assuming these stories are true (i never trust indian media) - dhoni is in the wrong this time, at least thats what i think. who cares if sree is talking crap to ppl on the field, he was the only indian bowler today that looked like getting wickets throughout the first 2 sessions. some of those deliveries to kallis were top class. thats the thing ppl should be focusing on, not the stuff he does on the side. zaheer was bowling at 117kmph so he was also the only one that was runningin hard and trying to do something all i am saying is that if i was dhoni, i wouldnt give a dman about over rates or match fines, and i would be encouraging the guy to keep attacking kallis because he was bound to get a wicket sooner or later. zaheer had a niggle and ishant was bowling trash so dhoni should have backed his best seamer...

Pussey-cuddling useless pretending players like Instant Karma will serve Dhoni right.. This match already screwed up due to his pathetic batting, captaincy, fieldplacings, in explicable bowling changes..
