CSK Fan Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I believe in this team, if anyone can make this chase, we can. One session from Sehwag and we will be on track!
gaurav92 Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Nope 340 is just too many.We d be better off saving the game and not going too hard to look at an impossible win.
Jersey #10 Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 We can do this only if Dravid and Laxman are kicked out of the team for a day.
Guest Gunner Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I believe in this team' date=' if anyone can make this chase, we can. One session from Sehwag and we will be on track![/quote'] Fool's world. 340 in a day?
kabira Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 If you look at the SA dismisssal...all of them were batsman's error..rather than really good delivery.. So just have to bat with application...new ball will do a lot..so first 20 overs we have to fight it out...
Andy Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Sehwag will be gone within 10th Over. Till then our strategy would be to 'Score' Runs. After that we'll resort to 'Playing Out' overs and given the way the pitch is behaving, you will play down to SA hands once you resort to that.
Jersey #10 Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 The odds are 99 to 1 in favor of RSA to win it. There is one percent chances that Viru can come to the party and score a quick 150 and then Sachin, Dhoni and Bhajji can finish it off. I really can not trust the likes of Dravid and Laxman for this chase.
VRV Singh Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Nah, no chance. I dont think anyone clinging on to the 'Sehwag factor' genuinely believes he'll fire us to victory
CSK Fan Posted January 5, 2011 Author Posted January 5, 2011 Fool's world. 340 in a day? Well it doesnt harm to be positive although we will most probably draw it. What is the highest total succesfully chased in a day, anyone know?
Sid Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 We need some luck like England had last year when they drew 2 tests in SA and we should not even talk about a win ,that is too far fetched
Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 india have fked this one up completely. altho whats good for india is that this pitch has eased up considerably. was doing a bit in the morning session but after that it was pretty easy to score against a softened up old ball. even the turn wasnt as menacing, but kallis played it really well. india could lose this game tomorrow in the first session itself, or india could go out all guns blazing and try to chase it down. i dont care about a draw, i want them to go for the win. pitch has flattened out, they have no spinner that can use the rough and the swing wont be there for steyn and co. these guys need to go for it

IF THERE IS ANY LINE UP.. THEN IT'S INDIA'S COME ON INDIA..
The Realist Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 No chance. Have to score 115 runs a session and that has not happened in this whole match.
akshayxyz Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 No doubt about ability - but for this: a) Sehwag,Dravid haven't really fired yet b) Gambhir is injured c) No expectation from Pujara That leaves us with Sachin + VVS+ MSD+ tail.

Nova Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I say Sehwag should go there guns blazing. Yeah go for it...what's there to lose? Dravid is there to play tuk tuk later. Nothing less than a win. :whine: Oh man...who are we kidding, this target seems out of reach on a 5th day pitch. Let's pray for a miracle.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 a quick 35-40 from sehwag in a 70 run partnership could make things manageable and india does have sloggers in the lower order like dhoni and harbhajan who can hit big shots, remember what dhoni did at centurion. maybe promoting dhoni up the order wouldnt be a bad idea...
