rkt.india Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 I think Australian bowling is still better than their batting right now...this is the worst Australian batting line up in 20 years...look at their openers...Watson opening for them is the biggest tragedy they have...:--D
99.94 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 I like Mark Waugh - I reckon he would do a great job as an Australian selector.

rkt.india Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Watson and Katich have the potential to be a pretty good opening pair. Watson is good for 6 or 7..he has not shown the ability to play long innings yet..he mostly gets in and gets out...an opener must have the ability to carry on if he gets set like hayden and langer used to do and on that foundation other australian batsmen used to take full control..which is not happening now a days...I think Phil Jacques was a very good opening batsman and has done well too when chances given..do not know why he is not picked for a long time now...Shaun Marsh has done better than Hughes this season, i think this batting line up can be very good with Jacques and katich opening and Watson batting at 6....
The Outsider Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 By the way, not sure if this comment from Waugh was posted earlier, but I just found it hilarious. This was after Clarke's twitter apology : What’s Clarke doing after getting out? He’s on Twitter saying sorry for not walking? Mate, if he did that in our side there’d be hell to pay. AB would chuck his Twitter box off the balcony or whatever it is. Sorry for not walking? Jesus Christ, man. Or this one on Doherty : Bit harsh? He was chucking that many pies at Pietersen he may as well have opened a bakery on days two and three. He's been on a roll this summer.
vvvslaxman Posted January 7, 2011 Author Posted January 7, 2011 They need someone like Allan Border again.
