Well lets not overhype him. If he bowls one at 147 that means nothing. His average is around 133-135... he still has long way to go.
no his average is around 137-138 and he was more often than not hitting the 140 KPH mark and when a bowler bowls 20 overs in a day...not many bowlers can maintain consistent 140 average pace....his first warm up delivery of his first over was 137 and I saw how easily he bowled that without any effort...and you could see Pankaj was running in so hard putting 110% of his effort and was bowling 125-128 that is the difference between Yadav and other Indian pacers in speed...he bowls 85-90 mph without much sweat...it comes very natural to him...and he will learn as he plays more

Whats the use of speed, if he can't buy wickets?[/quote'] all three took 2 wickets so what are you saying...RP and Pankaj bowled with the new bowl...he bowled from 15th over and Kookabura does not stay new for long...all three had similar economy...even in the last game in the second innings he picked 3/17 and took 4 wickets in the match at an average of around 24...RP too took 4 wickets so where he is not buying any wicket...Pankaj took seven wickets who is a seasoned campaigner in FC and has played 50 FC matches.....Yadav is still a potential talent and not a finished article...He still has a lot to learn

This was expected? No? But Kaif retired? What happened? I must go and watch!

yeah pretty much expected...Kaif retired don't know...may be hit by a bouncer from Mithun...i am not watching...following on BCCI website

I think it was better not to give then any chance. Anyway, no points awarded for outright victory. So, all SZ is to do is bat big abd bat CZ out of the match. The lead is already almost 400.

I am sure that ball was over 120kmph. Any thing over 120 is out of bounds for His Uselessness to even spot. Not surprising.
Got hit on his left hand by a bouncer bowled by Vinay Kumar

SEMIFINAL ROUND UP, DAY TWO North Zone v West Zone Sumit Narwal's heroics give North Zone the advantage Sumit Narwal — boosted by success with the bat in a free-spirited 53-ball 59 — struck with the ball in his first over on the second day of Duleep Trophy semifinals. The stocky seamer beat opener Sahil Kukreja on the front-foot, pace and movement inducing an edge into Uday Kaul's gloves. West Zone slumped to 176 for five in the race for first innings lead at the Motibaug ground, and was 284 runs behind. North Zone had put up a challenging 460, helped by stroke-filled 89 from Kaul and Narwal's heroics at the crease. Cheteshwar Pujara was felled by another Narwal special, beaten by a huge out-swinger which took the shoulder of the bat and was still climbing when Shikhar Dhawan latched onto the catch at second slip. Ajinkya Rahane shaped to drive against the North seamer, misjudged the bounce and nicked towards Yashpal Singh in the slips. Narwal steamed in unchanged in a decisive first spell 11-3-34-3. Amit Mishra also managed to send back rival skipper Wasim Jaffer (53 runs, 63 balls). Earlier, on a cool morning, West's hopes of rattling North's batsmen did not work out in the first hour of day two. Jaydev Unadkat, armed with the new ball, made no impact on Kaul and North captain Amit Mishra. The two overnight batsmen stitched together a 124-stand for the sixth wicket; the former leant into strokes and picked gaps with ease for 13 fours, the latter displayed confidence and competence. Mishra offered no stroke to Fallah and was trapped leg-before. Kaul relished the nip off the track and feasted on the bowling for 31 overs before a concentration lapse proved costly. Narwal slipped into the run-making responsibility with ease, reading the line early to hit a few superbly timed sixes straight over the bowlers head and over mid-wicket. He picked out left-arm spinner Bhargav Bhatt for an assault, hitting five sixes and four boundaries. West left-arm pacemen Samad Fallah and Unadkat shared four wickets each, though unable to find the length to rein in the attacking batsmen. Narwal and Joginder Sharma made a far greater impact with the new ball for North, drawing batsmen forward before beating them with speed and swing. Brief Scores: North Zone 460 (Mandeep Singh 114, Uday KAul 89, J Unadkat 4-115, S Fallah 4-82); West Zone 176/5 (R Jadeja 62 not out, W Jaffer 53, S Narwal 3-34) South Zone v Central Zone Good show by South Zone bowlers South Zone bowlers displayed the desired discipline and struck at regular intervals to bundle out Central Zone for 178 but its captain S. Badrinath surprised everyone by not enforcing the follow-on on the second day of the four-day Duleep Trophy semifinal here on Thursday. Earlier, South, resuming at 416 for eight, was dismissed for 443 after 5.4 overs in the morning. And, when South batted for the second time, opener Abhinav Mukund (60 batting, 85b, 10x4, 1x6) and the free-stroking Robin Uthappa (59, 41b, 11x4) made the Central bowling look very ordinary. By close of play, South had extended the lead to 397 runs with eight wickets still in hand. Earlier, contrary to expectations, the bowlers held the upper-hand even as the formidable Central batting line-up came a cropper. Fast bowlers Vinay Kumar, Abhimanyu Mithun and left-armer Sreenath Aravind came up with accurate spells. It was Aravind who struck the first blow, sending back Central's big hope Aakash Chopra, who nicked an away-going delivery to second slip. Soon, Vinay took a diving catch on his follow-through to send back Mohnish Mishra. Central Zone captain Hrishikesh Kanitkar too disappointed, chasing a wide ball from Mithun to see Badrinath take a fine catch at gully. Then Central suffered a body blow when India discard Mohd. Kaif (on 20) had to leave the field in the first over after lunch with a fractured left wrist, after trying to fend off a rising delivery from Vinay. The only highlight of Central's batting was 20-year-old Ashok Menaria's knock (79 not out, 63b, 10x4, 3x6). He hit left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha for three huge sixes. However, South did not let the tail wag. Manish Pandey showed his catching ability with a terrific, diving effort at first slip to send back Pankaj Singh off Badrinath as the batsman leaned into a drive. Brief scores: South Zone 443 & 132/2 (Abhinav Mukund batting 60, Robin Uthappa 59) vs Central 178 (Ashok Menaria 79 not out; S Aravind 2/30, Abhimanyu Mithun 2/41) --------- Its almost certain that North and South are in the finals then!
