Will India wrap up this ODI series by the 4th game?

majority of the suicidal chxthiya fair weather 'fans' on this forum will disagree but india look good for winning this series with a game to spare. its 1-1 at the moment and india's batting still hasn't delivered a big game, makes u wonder whether it's around the corner. yuvraj looks in good touch again, dhoni is reliable as ever, kohli almost impossible to dislodge once he is set. even raina looks okay inspite of the short ball barrage that gets thrown at him when he walks out to bat. with yusuf playing, guys like botha and duminy wont repeat their performances in the 2nd ODI SA have found india's part timers difficult to get away in the middle overs and they have lost wickets to the new ball. their tail is still long as hell, and if they play tahir instead of botha this isnt gonna change. their confidence is probably drained after the 1 run loss to india. and now the next two games are in cape town and port elizabeth - two pitches which are gonna suit india more than SA with their lower bounce and more turn for spinners. its there for the taking

This was one of the worst chokes of SA history. Atleast in previous chokes like in WC games, they had to score runs quickly to win a game. Number of balls was not even an issue yesterday but they still panicked and lost wickets in run outs & bad shots. All they had to do was to score 2 runs per over in last 10 overs.

like how NZ lost the first test to Pak, NZ choked and innings collapsed On OP i agree we will win the next two games and wrap up the series, SA keep creating bowler friendly wickets and keep losing

SA had to score 20 odd runs in 10 overs but they were treating it like 20 runs in 15 balls. All they had to do wait for bad balls. NZ were done in by good bowling or may be their minds were at IPL auction.

I said during the first game too , this is the weakest ODI batting lineup ever fielded by SA. Smith Amla Ingram ABD Duminy Miller so heavily dependent on 3 players , Smith , ABDV & to an extent Amla ...the rest are either mediocre or have no experience ...they wer never going to chase down any half decent total , if not for some individual brilliance ...we should be favs going into the next games

Without Sachin, India's line up looks something like this Vijay (Out of form) Kohli (partially in form and might hit the peak) Yuvi (Out of form) Rohit (unreliable) Dhoni (Plays at his own pace out of the context of the game) Raina (Short ball) Yousuf Pathan (unreliable + short ball) ^^ These guys against Steyn & Morkle + 11 excellent fielders - BE REALISTIC There are more chances of India losing the next three games than winning any of the three. Winning the series will require miracles considering Indian history in South Africa.

I know it is blasphemous to ask this question on this forum, but what did Sachin do the first 2 ODIs? Your obsession with one player, treating everyone else in the team as garbage is border line laughable. We don't win the WC without contribution from more than player. Same goes for this series.

If SA kept gifting away wickets and choking like the did in the last game, and if umpires gave few more shocking calls like Botha LBW one (one of the most horrendous calls in cricketing history) then this series is done for them.

I don't see how Transparents post was anything to do with obsession over Tendulkar. He simply mentioned that without him, the line up looks the one he painted and nothing wrong with it. You would obviously miss a senior ODI player at the top who I might add is "injured" ( unless you like Conspiracies ) Besides, if you have so much problems with the forums...

You guys were really waiting for Tendulkar to fail in two consecutive matches, weren't you? :giggle:
