I want him to score a hundred in both innings of test match, win the match for us and then announce the retirement. If not so, that will give enough material for critics.

But then he hasn't been very keen on playing ODI's and neither he would be coonsidering playing ODI's in future. He is hanging on to play test cricket and for which he has been very much in team.

pensionplan Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Though we will all miss when players like RD, VVS and SRT retire or forced out, I am really excited and looking forward to the era after these players and see how it shapes up especially in the Test arena where they could be some initial hiccups but then in a country as vast as India there is always talent and it is a matter of identifying them, giving them chances and staying patient. After all all good things have to come to an end and the game needs to move on be it after a Lara or a Ponting or a Tendulkar.
