India is a great team and are favorites to win the world cup. I support all the asian teams, so best of luck to India, I will be happy if India or Pakistan wins the world cup. Realistically speaking we have no chance against the giant India so i am not looking forward to the 19th, I will be happy if we beat the minnows and West Indies. We didn't have any such high hopes. Only a few Bangladeshis who are illiterate and doesn't understand the game of cricket dreams like that. Me and my buddies didn't ever expect in our wildest dreams that we could have knocked out giant powers India in 2007 WC, my bet was on India and for that match my father even lost a decent sum of money. After the 2007 WC we took Bangladesh cricket serisouly, before that we always supported Pakistan, India or any other sides. We used to laugh at the Bangladesh pacers and batsmen, and always argued it was a national shame to let those jokers play test cricket. We still have a long way to go, NZ series was a fluke and I expect a thrashing coming our way this WC. I am sorry to say but with this team even in coming 10 years won't improve a tiny bit. But, it's good to have support from our neigboring countries like Pakistan and India. Just like how Dravid and Sachin appreciated our efforts, it means a lot for a minnow cricket nation.

India is one of the top 2 favorites to win the WC. Yet, even in the polls conducted here and generally talking to Indians, only about 50~60% expects India to win the WC. But even when BD is not even expected to make the QF according to most non-BD fans, most BD fans, not only expects to go to the QF but to win the WC. I am talking about atleast 1 in 2 guys. Whats with that? Well, anyone can say which team will win the WC doesn't mean they will! My fav is India to win the cup but I also wish Tigers win on 19th - might happen or not - depends on which team can handle the pressure on that given day. Though, India is likely to win being the top Test and 2nd ODI nation.
