A human being can be a brand. They are comparing brands with brands. But I dont think this is a fair comparision.

Even I would expect Amitabh Bachchan to be placed higher on such a list than Tendulkar. He's been doing ads from before Tendulkar. Been in the public eye for longer. He should be more trusted. Unless the brands that he's been associated with had very poor products :P

Unless the brands that he's been associated with had very poor products :P Unfortunately, there is plenty of over-sentimental, irrational, unreasonable fools in india who are continuously engaged in elevating sachin to immortal or godly status. Their level of dumbness is so great that shortly after seeming frustrating, they appear to be utterly ridiculous and you learn not to take them seriously. The survey seems to be limited as sample was too small

This makes for very interesting reading. This survey is carried out in 9 cities, as per the Wiki page. Which means that these Brand Trust Guys have left out rural India. No wonder the weak performance of brands like Parle, DoorDarshan & Colgate. Even after reading the wiki page, I am surprised that Amitabh Bhachchan doesn't even feature anywhere.:((

The fact that sachin is the only human in top 230 brands, where amitabh, srk, dhoni havent featured at all in the top 300 shows this comparison between companies and humans undertaken by TRA is ridiculous and plain wrong. I dont see much criticism of that fact. Compare this to the amount of flak that the other all-time best ODI players list coped(where sachin was ranked outside top 15). Plus I think some people take it as another feather in sachins cap:facepalm: :aha: :yay: 59.
