what stuff?
The idea that Indian coaches, because they could not bowl fast - ask people who can bowl fast to reduce their pace to be more accurate. These bowlers then listen and then lose all pace or accuracy they once had. It makes me feel stupid just running through the train of thought.

You don't need to be too tall or have a very muscular body to bowl fast. Look at these bowlers: Mohammad Sami - very slightly built but bowled over 95mph + on numerous occassions, never really lost pace throughout his career Fidel Edwards - short Waqar younis - short Malcolm Marshall - short Also, if speed is measured as speed of the ball out of the hand then why does it matter what type of pitch there is.

i do not think there is much discretion in speed guns. johnson bowled 145 in aus and bowling 145 in wc.if a bowler is pacey or slow is evident when we see it' date=' speed guns dnt chnge it..johnson wont bowl at munaf's pace. conditons affects the pace[/quote'] Example of different speed readings of praveen kumar in same match channel nine-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ucvus4uiKE star cricket-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=invesDWAgPw In channel nine he is 130-138km/h In espn he is 124-130km/h Also in the ashes series johnson was 130-145 in channel nine speed guns butn on skysports he was 140-152km/h you can watch on youtube

@cricket_god what should be right speed for jhnson in your opinion in this video But genuine pace deliveries will alwys be whatever guns show..In my opinion aaron was bowling much quicker in semi final in comparison to what speed guns showed in that match

Quick yes but no swing and seam movement .. This is what makes brett lee and Dale Steyn so dangerous.. I dont think he will be in the indian side any time soon, until he starts getting wickets in bunches in indian league cricket
