What will happen to India after Sachin retires?

I still remember when Sachin was pretty much carrying the Indian team alone and it seems like the repeat of the 90's once again against South Africa. Sure we have Dhoni/Yuvraj/Gambhir but comparing them to Sachin is like comparing Gilchrist to Kamran Akmal. What will happen to Indian team when Sachin is gone? He is turning 38 and this will be his last world cup.

Hopefully fewer Sachin threads. :winky:
ICF should open a Sachin sub-forum under the cricket section in honor of him :) Once SRT, Laxman, Dravid retire from Tests, I think Indian batting will have too many collapses in away Tests.

Nothing, it'll be a normal business. someone else will come and take his place but obviously not fill his shoes

That day our padosis will celebrate long and hard and you will see them justify why Inzamam is better than Tendulkar, why Afridi is a greater match winner than the little master and how Tendulkar cr@pped his pants while facing Wasim, Waqar and Akhtar, how Imran Nazir was more talented than SRT and how Ahmed Shehzad & Umar Akmal are way better than Sachin :cantstop:

Oh for sure. It's amazing to see padosis bring up Tendulkar and Dravid when questions come up regarding Afridi and Pakistan's history of ball tampering :cantstop:

Sachin will probably retire after the world cup from ODIs.our ODI team will be unaffected(it will have the same problems.i.e-mediocre,undisciplined bowlers). Our Test team after Sachin will have to reestablish itself and find new blood,we will lose our no 1 ranking quickly.

Sachin will become a celebrated commentator and we will have threads analysing links between his presence in commentary box and India's win/ loss ratios, loss of wickets and scoring rates.

The way he is going, he may even play in the next world cup. He's been in great form lately and it may continue for another four years.
