Past performances means nothing. India needs to make sure that they dont be over confident for the game. Sachin needs to stay there till the end & India will win.

they're only saying this because come wednesday and they lose they can say that they are not that hurt eventhoughthey will be burning inside!
We are not weak hearted like paks who go into permanent depression after every world cup loss.

Indian TV is bakwaas.
True. Every damn word the opposition utters is supposed to be some sort of dumbass 'mind game'. I'm seriously getting fed up of these two words now.

Please Indian fans, stop being so arrogant. Lay low like the Indian team is. Action speaks more than words. Don't be like most Pakistani fans who are always saying bad stuff about our Indian players and us in general.

But, isn't that where your 'best bowling side' confidence also stems from?

Sure we started out as natural born enemies decades ago and carried that onto the cricket field as well. But here's the secret to why India consistently beats Pakistan on the World stage. Pakis suffer from massive amounts of performance anxiety that India hasn't felt in ages. Because beating India is at the top of the Pakistani priority. The world cup is just an excuse. Not so for India. Pakis still think there's this huge rivalry going on between our two countries. But fact is, as any Indian knows, we've moved on. Our cricketing rivalry with Australia is more meaningful to us right now. The teams are much more closely matched over a period of years in all sorts of rankings. It's a lot like how New Zealand still thinks there's this big rivalry going on with Australia. While Australia just doesn't give a rat's pichwada about this supposed rivalry. They used to be traditional rivals once upon a time. Like India and Pakistan. Pakistani FanArt You've heard of one-sided love affairs - this is a case of one-sided hate. Pakistan insisting on manning up to India reminds me of the chicken hawk standing up to fight Foghorn Leghorn.

ou74p1.jpg "I'm a Chicken Hawk" ::aggressive: "I say, I say, down boy!"

Lol yup this is the reason all this forum is filled up with discussions (AS INDIANS HAVE MOVED ON) really ... Have you gone blind ?:orderorder:

I think Indians want to win this match very badly too, but Pakistani fans are taking it to another level. Right from Independence the two countries have been at terms of uneasy peace. In the last few years, India has been on the way up while Pakistan is caught up with domestic problems and is on the downward spiral. So sports (hockey and cricket) are the only areas where the comparisons are still valid. For the average Pakistani fan, the opporunity to beat India in a world cup game is more than huge, and it becomes a self concluded war or payback for the percieved injustices done to them by India. Indian fans want this victory very badly too and most have a lot of bitterness for Pakistan, but they wouldnt go to the level of calling this a war or a matter of national pride. Its a damn important cricket game, maybe the most important one of the tournament, but thats about it. no more, no less.

You are right... Pakistan fans will be 10 times more depressed than an average Indian fan if their side loses. Too much at stake for them.

I dont know why you guys are soo proud about that overall record ... but since you seem to be a nice guy let me tell you the sort of shady things that went into that record ... Have you ever wondered why Sharjah no longer hosts any matches ? This ground was like the real home to Pakis in the 80s and 90s. Next look at what some of the old cricketers have to say about Paki cricketers ... Balwinder Singh Sandhu when asked to compare Kapil Dev and Imran said that Kapil was a greater cricketer simply because he would never cheat. Next everybody knows about Umpiring let me know if you want to read some of the stuff from Steve Waugh and Mike Gatting let me know. The thing is even in this day and age when cricket is faaaar more strictly policed than it was before the 90s your teams acts of cheating , doping and fixing are literally innumerable to count. The thing that bothers me most is that how Javed Miandad - supposedly one of the biggest legends in your country - went about setting up family ties with the family of worlds most wanted criminal all quite openly without a care in the world. I mean I would beat the crap out of my son if he ever told me that he is courting the daughter of a petty thug let alone go about actively setting up the rishta ( which is how it works in our part of the world ) with a international criminal who is wanted in a bunch of countries. Does that not sound alarming to you guys about the honesty and integrity of your cricketers and administrators ? Why would you expect fans of other nations to treat you with respect with that sort of a background?. If your cricketers want respect they must at the very least be dignified and gentlemanly in their overall conduct on and off the field ? This is how a civilized society works . And if all that was not enough the less said the better about how fanatic your country is by and large. As for me .. I have said in the past that India should never have any sort of diplomatic relationship with Pakistan and should boycott it in all spheres including cricket even if it meant refusing to play in a Worldcup final let alone any thing lesser.
wow best post i have ever read on icf! :two_thumbs_up:

Let's raise the stakes' date=' how many World Cup matches have you won against us, anywhere in the world?[/quote'] Ignore him. Read his last comment just above this post- you'll know he's obviously here to troll. His highest point apparently is to hear the anthem on our soil- that should pretty much tell you the mindset most of these people have.

Yeah! good excuses... maybe if you guys keep on repeating this a few more people might start believing it.. good job! :two_thumbs_up: Outof curiosity why has India got a poor record against Pakistan while playing at home? 17-9 to Pakistan is it? What happened there? Surely Pakistann couldnt hae been the better team and there must be some otheer reason to explain the abysmal home record

Any reason why Pakistan has won only 1 Asia cup whereas India has 5 ? Can't win anything without ball tampering.?
