Ram Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Pretty sure, behind Gary’s back, many of the players, especially MSD, must be talking about giving him a special farewell gift. He’s obviously much liked and respected within the team, which is a rare achievement for an outsider. His calm, comforting and astute presence will certainly be sorely missed. One way or the other, the 2nd of April is going to be a pretty emotional day for the Indian team. Gary is definitely leaving, so will probably Sachin from ODIs. But its important not to be too caught up in the emotions of the occasion. There’s a cup that has to be won first – everything else can come later.
