sleep deprived, very sore throat, and a bit drunk but very, very happy. for the country, for the team, for tendulkar, for dhoni, for gary, for everyone... this was the dream. top in tests, and top in ODIs. wont get better than this. the whole year was memorable, right from the asia cup, to the south africa tour and now the world cup. just had to be on ICF while all this was going on, couldn't resist being here. what a team this is.

When Virat said something along the lines of "Sachin carried India for 21 years, its now time we carry him" or something close to that effect, had a tear in the eye. Well said Virat, the guy is mature beyond his years.

Smiling and crying at the same time is an amazing feeling which can never be described...........Even if India win in 2015 I am sure I wont have tears because it would be second time India would win in my lifetime.....but today was amazing........I just could not hold back because for past 30 years I have been dreaming and hoping for this day........I played a little bit of cricket in NBSA club in VashiNavi Mumbai way back in early 1990s then I moved to Toronto ..My only regret today was I was not in Vashi.....at NBSA bar where all my friends had gathered..........but yes March 1 2003....I was there at NBSA resturant and bar with 10 of my friends watchinng the Indo-Pak encounter....I can only imagine the party they must have had today........and I will always regret not having gone to India on this day...because I did have a chance for vacation but I did not go because that would mean leave without pay from work..and that would have affected my mortgage payments........but seriously on hindsight........I probably missed the biggest party ever...and now I regret it :(............I have been watcihng the QF SF and final highlights again and again and again........and the feeling is still sinking in yet.........:)

Dhoni was sperb...excellent...just have to admire the guy..........because playing such an innings under pressure..... on ones home ground......in front of the crowd which hadthe biggest names of all fields ( industry, movies, politicians and of course us crazy expectant fans ) from Mumbai and India........and that too chasing a score of 275...WOE..Awesome is not the word to describe it.......Theres no word to describe that innigs played by both Dhoni as well as Gambir equally...........not to forget Kohli too........Sachin may have failed but then what Kohli said is so true "He carried the burden of nation for 21 years...Its time the younger genration carried" him.....Awesome prescence of mind from Kohli to come with such a fantastic answer at the spur of the moment. P.S Ignore my spelling and grammar..I am too excited to correct them eventhough I know where I have gone wrong.

I was delighted when I watched today the local Toronto TV channel www. cp24.com..........They never report much about India and never ever of cricket.........but today it was Tendulkar and Dhoni who were shown on cp24 as the big news of our WC2011 was also the main headline

I had moist eyes... Not so much of tears when Kohli said.. " He has carried the burden on his shoulders for 20 years.. Its fitting that we carry him now.".. What a tribute to greatest champion...
