India should focus now on World Cup 2015

Now we are on top of the world. Now is the time to start planning how we will stay in top for long, long time. Batting is our forte. But, with bowling particularly Zak is getting older and may not be around in 2015, how to defend the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand? In my opinion, groom fast bowlers like Ishant, Jaydev Unadkad, etc. Also, we need to consult proper Psychiatrist for Sreesanth. If Zak and Munaf are still there in form, then we should be able to successfully defend our title. We have shown glimpses good fielding in the first few overs of final. We need to improve on this with a special fielding coach like Jonty Rhodes. Also, we need to strengthen our batting by giving opportunities to younger guys more and may have to look at people like Rohit Sharma. Eagerly waits for better solutions from you all guys, so that our team defends the title successfully in 2015. Jai Hind.

2015 is too far away! Though we need to start developing young bowlers. I see guys like Zak focusing more on tests in the future.

Play at optimum level, there is really no point in making wholesale changes 4 years prior to another wc. Our selectors was laughing at Nehra during 07 WC, and yet we saw him making a comeback.

Are you guys CRAZY? :giggle: Why not also add another item to start focusing on 2019 soon after 2015 is over right NOW to that long visioned plan? :hysterical:

next 2-2/12 years focus on bowling talent search/experiement and replacements for Sachin ( if he is sure of not playing 2015). WC preparations would happen only 12-18 months in advance.

Sachin will likely retire in 2013. Therefore, no chance of him playing in 2015 WC.
