In our country if a player under-performs for whatever reason ( may be fixed by an agent or told by some one powerful), he is a traitor. Any self respecting sportsman would resign from playing than under-performing.

For Odi series in Sri Lanka ( last two of them, 4-1, 3-2 ), for the test and Odi in India. Now I understand why we were playing you so often. But you have to understand there is only so much joy we can take. Maybe spreading joy to the war stricken regions where massacres and human rights violations have taken place might be more uselful.

By the way, SL's record against India is 28 to 9. So you decide which is the favorite team playing here. I think you are only trying to console yourself about the loss by claiming to have done India a favour by conceding the game. Get some proof or I dont see the point in continuing the conversation. as I said before if the sole purpose of this thread is to console yourself, then you might be better of heading on the padosi forums where already a lot of people are convinced that Pakistan did us a huge favour. Funny part is that the Australian team fans, one of the most dominant forces in International cricket for quite some time have not said a word about their fans. Just goes to show their sporting tendency and willingness to concede that an opposing team was better.

Why does it matter to Sri Lankans if you break the hearts of 1.2 billion people in our country ? That's the nature of sport. One team loses and the other team wins. If you are so worried about "breaking our hearts", why even bother playing this competition ? Your reasoning as to why Sri Lanka lost is absurd. Your team was beaten fair and square. Learn to accept it and stop making yourself look like a fool.
