5.6 Ishant to de Villiers, no run, Steyn before this ball walked up to Ishant and had a few words, Ishant kept it on a perfect length and forced de Villiers to defend off the backfoot, Ishant is bowling really well - looks like he is back to the 2008 days when he was one of the world's best 7.6 Ishant to Kohli, no run, Crikey, that's Ishant at his menacing best, a dream leg cutter that pitched outside off and moved away past the lame poke of Kohli, Kohli looked to cover the movement, but the ball snaked away like a dream and thudded into Sanga's gloves, Ishant liked that and had a word with Kohli who smiled back at him, too good for Kohli and the end of a magnificent spell of fast bowling from Ishant - I reiterate again - he is back to his very best. .3 Sharma to Kohli, 1 run, bouncer, hit in the air and falls safe in the mid-wicket region. Ashutosh comments on the speed Sharma is bowling, "Has any one bothered to notice the speed at which Ishant Sharma is bowling, his fastest is at 152.2Kmph and he's averaging at almost 150kmph." Well i would say i dont want to jump the gun a bit too early... lets keep the fingers crossed, if he balls this way in the other matches too, where there is less help from the pitch, he will surely be back in the team. I know this pitch has been quick by comparasions, and thats where ishant thrives... but his true test will be on slow low pitches... But the change is magnificent, i'm Dead Sure he has changed his action, he puts a lot more effort now, his hand , wrist, everything looks perfect..

Kid was bowling with fire today. Great to see him come back from a long break and use it to obviously work on his bowling because he was unplayeable today. In four overs he was averaging 147+ and I didn't see even of his deliveries played off the middle of the bat. Most of the time that batsmen had to play with a horizontal bat, such was the bounce he was getting off the deck. Really awesome to see him bowl like he did against Australia. Let's see if he can keep it going.

he now has the ball moving away! that's one thing no one has surprisingly mentioned. his stock delivery was the mean inswinger that troubled ponting no end.. and he seemed to have lost it in his decline. in 2010, for the very first time, one saw a away moving ball from him likely under akram's direction. he got peterson in the durban test with one. but now he has got it going with more regularity and got dilshan today. the incoming delivery to ponting is still missing...he got two incoming one a bit wide to dislhan.but the old one is stil not there. ppl who can move both ways are growing- praveen, sreesanth, ishant and unadkat

As i have said on the forums ishant is a rhythm bowler when he gets it right ,he is faster than most bowlers combined with high arm action so less reduction of speed due to friction when the ball hitsd the pitch,Anybody noticed he has been bwoling few no balls so he is getting his run up right.

steyn was averaging late 130 so maybe there is a speed gun error steyn usually 145+
You do not need speed guns to tell he was bowling express ask ab de villiars,A class batsman like him was unable to hit the ball and looked beaten for pace.

im confused the guy barely touched 140 in south Africa where they have the fastest pitches in the world
He was going through bad patch then, not getting his rhythm, run up, and action right. he worked on it in the break of 2-3 months after that and he looks to be back to his best, what he was in 2008, again.
