zen Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 All 140+ kmph bowlers, Ind's phassssst brigade: - Sree - Yadav - Varun And with Zak around, the opposition would be :nervous:
panther Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 whos yadav sree is crap i dont know why he's in the team against bangladesh he was bowling at 130k than in the final clocked 146k ( he was up for it obviously so was bowling flat out) than after a couple of over his pace went back to his usual 130-135 k the guy has to improve his fittness

panther Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 This is abt test cricket :winky: well obviously he dosant have the fitness to bowl 140 constantly in test cricket if he cant do it in odi
zen Posted April 6, 2011 Author Posted April 6, 2011 well obviously he dosant have the fitness to bowl 140 constantly in test cricket if he cant do it in odi It's not that obvious :P .... I guess there would be no point in going over dynamics of bowling in tests and ODIs. If you know what they are you reply in that way, if you don't then you reply in some other way
vaibhav_delhi Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Fast bowling stocks will look even more impressive if Ishant n RP get fit n in form...
vvvslaxman Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 I do not think we are going to produce tearaway fast bowlers. It is a thankless job especially in India. Small injury means you are out of action for long. I dont think any bowler is going to risk it. As we saw in semi final our bowlers are capable of bowling fast when it is absolutely necessary. That was once in a life time opportunity. They stepped up above their normal. I don't think they are going to do that in every single match.
vpg0002 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Yadav and Varun will take some time before they can live up against formidable opposition Ishant and RP should be the getting ready to make a come back from injury along with Praveen Kumar.
vvvslaxman Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Australia has atleast 6 or 7 bowlers who easily clock close to 150 k. I don't think they are doing anything earth shattering. Unless India is going to unearth someone who can clock above 150k it is waste of time focussing too much on pace. At the end of the day, wicket taking ability is more important. 140ks? seriously.. you can beat the batsman with that pace? I doubt so. Malinga is a strike bowler because he is accurate. He can land the ball at the same spot over and over again. He practices it for hours. I am yet to come across a genuine quick who had a successful career without variation.

If you know what they are you reply in that way' date=' if you don't then you reply in some other way[/quote'] now talking about dynamics i know in test cricket most bowlers reduce there pace slightly but your the one who said he's 140+ which he obviously is not he struggles to produce that 140+ your talking about at test level
VRV Singh Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 I would rather produce several more Zaheer Khans than obsess with phaasht boilers
Stuge Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 fast brigade ?? is that the right word for our medium pacers ? anyway ,bowling is not just about 140+ .
Stuge Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 140 is nothing to an international batsman. still English players have problem playing spin :giggle::giggle:
cricketlover Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 pace alone is only useful if its 150 plus regularly like akhtar or lee had... If its just 140 k and nothing else then its nothing for intl batsmen.. so I think in current circumstanses India is doing well and no need to get someone in just on pace alone if he cannot ock 150k plus regularly
shoki Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 All 140+ kmph bowlers, Ind's phassssst brigade: - Sree - Yadav - Varun And with Zak around, the opposition would be :nervous: :P zak is the only bowler india hv
