What is it going to take to stop other teams thinking we can't play the short ball ?

I mean granted it is not our biggest strength, but we have done reasonable well winning so many overseas tests at places that were supposed to be the graveyard for visiting teams. It is sickening to see guys like Nasser Husain,Ian Botham, Holding ..etc.... to go on like broken records about our so called inability to play the short ball.

Thats good actually, In places like England if you Keep it too short you'll never be able to exploit seam or swing. That would just help us through the New Ball. I believe in our Last tour to SA In the 2nd and 3rd test SA Were a bit too short in their length and that actually helped us.

Well My point is not about One particular Innings, My point is If the opposition is obsessed with Short stuff it always helps you because they keep it a Bit too Short. May be I am wrong about the 3rd test But i remember pretty well the Commentators were talking about Morkel being Too short, which he wasnt in the First test. This Short stuff strategy has actually Backfired Many teams against us before.

I hope the Eng team take Atherton, Hussain and Botham's advice and bowl short to Indians in Test matches On a seaming pitch, or generally on any pitch, it's the pitched up deliveries that get batsmen out and not the short ones. Short ones may work in T20 where the pressure is on to score off every delivery thus resulting in a wkt but in Test match or odis you can afford to let short pitched deliveries go. Let's see whether Eng team put their money where their mouth is for I can see Sehwag & Indian bastmen taking Eng to cleaners if they persist with the short stuff policy.
