I do respect Sachin a lot... He was overrated in the sense that they in Tier 2 of fast bowling. Tier1: Mcgrath, Ambrose Tier2 : Akram, Donald, Waqar, Pollock, Walsh Tier3 : Gillespie , Zaheer(present form), Asif So nobody is question he is not an ATG bowler.

Mcgrath 25, 21 (test, odi) .Way better. wasim and waqar had a far better yorker than the two you have mentioned also wasim and waqar were death over specialist im not sure if mcgrath or pollock were they bowled a lot of overs at the death that why they have a higher % of tailender wickets

Against top quality batting line ups their averages go UP and i proved it. :finger: So, i am trying to bring some logic, not like you. someone said something against a pakistani bowler, and they are all ready to wet their chaddis.

The only one i know they lost was the 2005 Ashes but England would not have won had McGrath not have gotten injured before the 2nd test. I also think India would have certainly lost the test series in Australia in 2003/2004 had he been playing. On a different topic, Jason Gillespie had a superb record against us.

Two others - in Pakistan in 1994 (but that was very, very early in his career - he wasn't a top class bowler at that stage) and Lanka in 1999.

So they never lost a series in Australia when he played and only 2 proper series (not really counting the 1st one as he was just starting out) in total. McGrath was an unbelievable matchwinner.
